This is good historical place. Not at all maintained and not open for visitors. Can be developed as tourist place. Got disappointed by watching this place from rooftop of adjoining building.
This Grade 3 Heritage Site is a unique example of the Maratha Wada Architecture. You cannot visit this Wada without the owner's permission. Built for Sardar Ambaji Purandare, this huge wada complex has its own Ganpati Mandir, two courtyards, a howd (water cistern), toilets, and a private well. You can see fortified walls, iron-spiked gate and guard towers which reflect the defensive architecture. As this wada is old and dilapidated, lot of horror films are shot here-most recently- Tumbbad. I wish INTACH can restore and bring back the glory of Purandare Wada.
we all known this wada because of movie called tumbadd . if your expecting same thrill just dont go there. this place very disappointed me . not maintained at all This wada is masterpiece but no one is taking care and nobody cares . wada is closed from outside and you need spacial permission to visit inside but i ask locals but no one have any phone number or something.
This is Aabasaheb Purandare Wada, built almost 200 years ago. I will suggest everyone to never visit this place because some people have experienced negative energy and horror incidents here. The wada consists ground + 3 floors. The whole wada is almost damaged and destroyed from inside.
This place has got very special significance for me, this is the place where we had our Primary Education School named "Sheti Mulodyog Vidya Mandir" we studied here up to my 7th STD, those were very wonderful years in my life. Then went to secondary school from 8th to 11th STD. This place which is owned by Sardar Abasaheb Purandare was given to then authorities to run our primary school, it was in very good condition in those years.( 1961 to 1965) Outer big wall is still in good condition but since I could not visit it and see the inside structure. I may not be able to tell about the present state. But it has a very historic background of Peshave Era of Maratha Swarajya founded by Shri Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
This wada is located in between saswad city there are lot of buildings, there are some facts about this wada people dont know there is lot of gold stored inside this wada sounds funny but true i know this facts because its my village and i stay there from childhood and gathered lot of information, there are lots of movie shoots in this wada the latest and best TUMBAD if you didn't watch yet go experience some real stuff from Bollywood. Hence there are lot more ypu can google and read the whole history. Also known for Abasaheb wada.
There is no permission to enter in wada and the place is very dirty at outside of wada premises. The wada is in well condition but it is not well maintained by its owner. People throwing garbage, doing uranate near main door front side of wada. Disappointed by residential people.
