Excellent temple constructed for Lord Sri Rama. In this temple, Lord Sri Rama gives darshan along with Sitha Devi, all his brothers and Hanuman Ji. Complete Ramayana was excellently painted in pictures on the walls of the temple. Very near to Sri Adi Kumbheswara temple. Only cons is vehicle parking.
In this " Southern Ayothi" Sri Ramar and Seetha are sitting with Lakshmanan standing nearby.Sri Bharadhan is holding umbrella over them.Sri Sathurknan serving them with 'samaram'.Sri Hanuman is sitting in the floor with Veena in one hand and Ramayanam on the other hand. It is called as 'Ramar pattabisegam'. Wonderful darshan. Ramayana scenes are painted in the inner pragaram nicely.The sculptures in the pillars of the mahamandapam are beautiful.

A must visit temple. A very clean temple and the maintenance is very good. Moolavar is Still Rama and Sita with Baradan and Sathrugan. Hanuman is also in the garpagraham. The speciality of this temple is the Hanuman holding Veena. It's a quite nice place with lots of sclupters to admire... This is a very old temple and the slucptures are awesome..
Definitely never heard of this temple from anyone or even read of this temple anywhere, i happened to see this as i was planning for my kumbakonam trip. After we finished our darshan at nageshwar, someshwar and kumbheshwar temples, we came to this temple, my god, totally stunned when i saw the moolavar, such beauty, such perfection in the statues. Also the amount of width they have given to view. Cursed myself for not having come to this temple before. Have made it a point to go back again to this temple in the near future, in day time so that i can see the beautiful sculptures in the temple and also to have a good darshan of the Lord Ram. Pity such temples are not even getting their due attention. I am making it a point to tell about this temple to my friends and relatives or whoever goes to kumbakonam to go and visit this temple.
