Very big pond with full of clear water. There's a special arrangements to take bath in pipe, nearby the tank.
Devotees bath in this pond at aadi kiruthigai day every year before going to darshan. Every year on the aadi kiruthigai day evening(7-10pm) special theppal at saravana poigai pond in tirutani.
Thirithani is one of the six holy shrines of Lord Muruga located in the top of the hill.You can reach the top of the hill by road transport or by walk from the ground. This Saravana Poigai is main Theppakulam of this temple. But it is not maintained well. The water is also low. The devastanam rooms are available in the foothills near this Theppam with minimum rents.

Not maintained properly. The govt should step in rather putting some politician leader photos and banner on temple, feel bad.please clean this pond.
For tiruttani and nearby tours i strongly recommend Mr. Saravanan (ss cabs). He has good network to the temples from where he makes sure we get good dharshan. There are 100 km, 150km packages we took 100 km covering tiruttani, tiruvelangadu, matthur
