Awesome lake in Sarathang area of Sikkim. Pristine waters. Lots of snow during winter seasons. The lake is at an altitude of 14,000 feet above sea level. Peak winter is from October to February. March is manageable but still very cold.
It's a beautiful place .. You can take a paddle boat ride over there.. 150/- to 200/- per person. Depends on season. Best time to visit 1st week of December. So you can enjoy the half frozen blue water lake.
Beautiful lake near Nathula army check-post, on the way to Baba Mandir. People usually stop / park here if the road to Nathula is blocked or jammed. It's a beautiful setting with hills, snow and clouds. And because there's not much crowd around, it feels serene and calm. A lot of people seem to be confusing this lake with Changu or Tsomgo lake, which is quite far from here.
It was a small lake in the way of Nathula Pass, this lake was semi frozen during our visit to nathula on 29th Dec 2017
Amazing place, but underrated. While visiting tsongmo lake or nathula, you should also visit this lake, very near from tsongmo. Less crowded so its nuch peaceful
