I will say the best restaurant for only veg people visiting Gokarna. Prices are really affordable compared to other veg restaurants in Gokarna. We tried many dishes in our two visits - all liked. Perfect taste, not much spicy.
The veg restaurant is situated exactly between main beach entry and the temple. Good restaurant to find South Indian food.
But it will be crowdy most of the time and it's a self-service restaurant. There is one AC hall where service will be provided at some extra cost.
Prices are reasonable. Variety of dishes like Idly, Dosa, Chappathi, Meals, Vada are available. Food quality is average. But not bad.
They have rooms as well. But we tried only restaurant. It will be open until night 10:30 PM
Not sure about Rooms but the worst food you can find here. Better not to waste your money. High prices and worst taste. Better to avoid.

Stopped here for breakfast , Idly Sambur was average in taste but Kashaya was really good. Price is nominal.
It has AC service hall backside but ita mostly coveres from seating area and Rooms are also available in same building.
We stayed here during our budget trip. The property is budget friendly, suitable for travellers. It is the only property located on Gokarna Beach. The food is decent, not the best. The rooms have hot water.
It's a pure vegetarian restaurant near to Gokarna main beach....The taste is good. We ordered Plain Dosa, Masala dosa, Medu wada, Idli, Uttapam and tea/coffee. Everything was good except Idli. They have self service counter and Ac room. They also have ice creams. The rates are optimal, main advantage being the location.
Worst food ever. They are charging you a bomb price and the food is not value for money at all. If you are eating here and thinking that this is what authentic South Indian food tastes like, then my friend you are doing a blunder. Sambhar is old. Rasam is old. Happalam is all soggy. Rice is uncooked. Only thing that was good was pickle. That too I think they reuse the leftover pickles from the plates. If you wish to ruin your mood please proceed to the ''restaurant".
They can't make North Indian for sure. The least that is expected from them is a decent South Indian meal, and they fail successfully at that too.
We had worst experience with this hotel they are unable to serve not even drinking water facility and proper hand wash facility. They are unable to serve at a time 45 people. They are unable to serve sufficient quantity of the food to the people

Pretty old restaurant. Tasty food we had ordered dose and majjige(buttermilk) dose was like home style sagu was very tasty and coconut chutney was nice overall good food 4 plate dose two majjige and one water bottle cost us 280 rupees affordable!

If you are visiting Gokarna and want a good, amazing, quality breakfast, then Hotel Purohit is a feast for you. Upma, shira, dosa, medu vada and special tea are very good here. In Gokarna you will not get such kind of breakfast. Be sure to visit. Hot
