One of the best hospital in calicut, it is really affordable and the staff are very friendly.

One of the best hospital , especially, for gynaecology in Calicut area. Experienced doctors and medical service. They never urge for cesarean. But there will be little bit rush at the OP department. Some times you have to wait 5 or 6 hours to see the doctor. But only recently they modified the token system and consultation to a transparent and little more efficient one. Earlier no one will have the slightest idea when they will be called for seeing the doctor and many were complaining about this. Infrastructure developments are carried out in short gaps. Decent Canteen and prayer hall available in the compound itself. Even though parking area is large, not adequate enough to occupy even half of the vehicle visiting. Another parking space available outside, but little far. Mainly People from calicut and Malappuram districts are preferring the hospital. Service cost are comparatively reasonable.

I would highly recommend the Santhi Hospital Omassery for anyone wanting to give birth at a place with fantastic staff, great facilities and exceptional service. Dr. EV Muhammed made us feel very safe in our high risk pregnancy, and scheduled our induction in a way that assured a smooth labor and birth. I thank all the nurses and staffs to assist us with all aspects of new parenthood. All of the nurses and doctors were great. We are so grateful to all the doctors, nurses and all the staff for all their help in getting our life with our newborn started on the right foot. Thank you to the whole team at Santhi Hospital for such a great experience.

Good Service but a bit of Business focused now a days. Was charged Rs 1400/- per day for the Room which never modified or refurbished not even once. Not worth for even 1000/- per day. Found Cot with Broken Grills and Beds were torn.

My mother had a Hip Fracture. My experience in this hospital: Negative points: 1. Anesthesia wing is not updated, they are still living in British Era. A) Pre & Post Operative pain management is utterly nonsense. B) Literally begged for an Epidural pain management for the surgery planned patient. Surgery was very next day. C) Denied the request and placed a continuous regional block. And that got failed removed due to bleeding on the block site. D) Having an Epidural line, still pushing Paracetamol infusion for a Hepatic Liver patient. Hats off the Anesthesia wing for making my mother suffer pain. E) Never given top up on Epidural in the ICU. D) Shifted the patient to the ward without accessing pain score. 2. No coordination between the Surgical Doctors & Anesthesia wing. Readmitted to ICU due to the failure of pain management. 3. Not received any follow-up for the complaints given to the Medical Superintendent. 4. Cleanliness can be improved, as Cats roaming around ICU corridor. Expecting better clean rooms. 5. No daily briefing or discussion with patient's relatives, regarding the condition or progress of patient's health. Unfortunately briefing is like an announcement. No individual patient's briefing and it's in public no privacy for the relatives to discuss with the Doctor. 6. Visitation timing & briefing time no coordination. This should be in accordance with the visitation timing. 6. Patients rights just pasted everywhere just for name sake. In reality it's zero. 7. Rarely seen ICU Doctors in visiting time. Since last one week ( 10:00am to 10:30am & 5:30pm to 6:00pm) Positive Feedback : 1. Surgical wing especially Orthopaedic is good and very kind to explain the situation. 2. Medicine Team having a practical approach towards improving the patient condition. 3. Overall nursing department is good except 1 or 2 staffs showing attitude. 4. Attendants & Ward Boys & Girls are very accommodating. 5. Canteen is good with affordable price. 6. Hospital charges are reasonable. Suggestions : 1. Appoint a Professional Manager 2. Conduct a Study & Plan to improve the Quality 3. Appoint a committee to monitoring the implementation. 4. The complaint's response needs to inform the relatives.

My first delivery was here, it was a terrible experience. I consulted Dr Aysha, was always in a hurry with 4 or 5 patients together inside consulting room and hence bystander could not be there. She just came for rounds during delivery time and scolded me for low hb level as I did not take iron pills, despite telling her during op visits itself that it made me sick and more tired every time I had it. She also went out and told my husband and mom that it was all my fault that now I am in active labour and there is no way blood transfusion can be done and gave them unnecessary stress. It was purely her fault she never checked my blood levels during any of the last op visits because as I said everytime it was a hurry to get to the next person. And all the drama to just remove the responsibility from her head. Now I'm pregnant again and I have the same problem with pills but I am taking care of my diet and checked blood level and was ok. But my husband refuse to believe that and anything else I would like to have changed this time all because of that incident as he believes the dr was being reasonable and I'm being dramatic. This is just one part of the incident. Everything that happened inside the labour room was completely inhumane. They treated me worse than what people describe as the treatment of a cattle to be slaughtered. No respect, privacy, autonomy nothing. Forget informed consent, they didn't even tell me the name of meds i was forced to take despite asking it multiple times, just that dr said to give you. All kinds of human rights was left at the door. I am writing this now as it is giving me serious anxiety and I've been over thinking about everything since I became pregnant again. I can't convince my husband of taking better decisions and advocating for me, all because of that incident, he won't believe anything except what the Dr says. I would love to advice husbands to be there for their wives during birth and choose someplace you can be with them during delivery. Please make sure not to completely believe what the dr says and listen to your wife. She is the one going through it. Every birth is different so it won't always be the same. Support them as much as possible. This is when they need you the most. P. S. I did not have any issues bcos of low hb, but I was traumatized from everything tht happened there. So choose ur provider wisely. I get this intense urge to strangle the Dr and staffs there everytime I think about those days, which is scary and is probably the trauma response my body developed to keep me safe.
