There is no entry fee or anything and it quiet and nice place to trek or go with your partner or friends. But the place is a with bit less people and would not recommend to go alone. Not quite sure of safety wise. The top view is amazing and worth it.

Sangagiri Fort was built before 16 th centuary. It has 14 fort walls . The fort served as a British tax storage facility for Kongu nadu. The route is very lonely. Ensure your safety.Should keep drinking water.The travel should be completed before 5.15 pm. Even if the closing time mentioned is 5.30 pm, they may close the entry gate before that. Nobody is there to check the entry. The climb was a great experience.

Historic place, but no shop around. People trek to reach the top..

There is nothing significant to see here, other than a big temple (which was closed) at the foot of the hill and an abandoned Sri Anjaneya Temple at the very top. You should visit here only for the trek and to see a few ruins from the old fort wall and moat.
