Sanjay Van - Woods in New Delhi - New Delhi, India

Serene place wrapped around the greenery and beauty of its' wilderness. A nice place for sunsets , could witness many species of birds and if got lucky could get a sighting of deers too.

A hidden gem of Delhi specially who love to spend time in peace. I have been going to this place for the past 10-12 years and spent a lot time there and had planned multiple trips (Only a few of them were successful) with my friends there

There is a small forest spread over a very large area. The flow of small water bunds all around make this forest beautiful. I had gone for cleaning as a volunteer on behalf of Vrikshit Foundation. It was my first time to go to this forest and I can say that if you guy gets free time then you too must go. As soon as you go inside, you will get a different refreshing atmosphere. Food was kept at every place for dogs, squirrels, ants and birds which I liked very much.

Tbh the place is good for those who loves walking and the natural environment without any comfort things. Well my visit is pretty good there is very high chances to lost the way in this place without any guidance and if you forget the things easily and it's confirm that you can also lost your way. Lovely place to visit and those who didn't see the natural environment I'm sure you will find this place good. One thing I would suggest is to place a good map it's hard to determine the length of line in the map.

This is a vast preserved forest area in the centre of Delhi which is good for walking, jogging and spending time with nature. DDA is doing a poor job in properly maintaining this area. They could really make improvements with directions, showing distances in the map, having clean toilet facilities and overall giving it an uplift. The central tower (LG tower) is worth going and the views are amazing from there.

Visited Sanjay Van in evening , few months back and enjoyed strolling here. The area is quiet large and there's a lake also with ducks and water birds. This outing was very refreshing but it's easy to get a little lost so had to ask about few places on our way. Loved the hike to the top which offers city view along with the Qutub.

Sanjay Van is a pretty decent and one of the few trails for trail riding in this part of Delhi. Unfortunately, it's a shared trail so watch out for walkers, of which there will be plenty. Also, there's a pretty high chance of punctures and some of the trails are quite damaged. Additionally, take it easy on the brakes as there's a good chance of going OTB if you grab a handful. The place itself is pretty cool with peacocks and other animals and plenty of picturesque locations. The stream is a rather sad sight though as it's full of pollution.

It's a safe and warm place, close to the nature. Good for cyclers, walking, exercising, joggers. And more off for spending time with and around nature, to have a quality time with friends family and self as well. For delhi people one must visit the place at least once. It's a must recommend. It's a place from young kids to old one's, for everyone.
