Presently there is no fort, only a huge boundary Wall, Inside the Fort there is An old Ganesh Mandir and a small museum, 99% of the Fort was occupied by private villas, apartments and few government offices.

The fort of Sangli is an ancient fort situated in the centre of Sangli Town. Presently, this fort has been turned into a revenue and collector's office and also houses a Marathi school. The palace of Rajwada and a museum also form a part of the present day structure of Sangli Fort. The court of Sangli District is located opposite to the fort.
Actually first of all it is not a fort at all. Fort is just a misnomer for this and that's why I gave only 4 star . Yeah, there is a museum which is really mesmerising and just for 10 rs , you can stay there as long as u want. Behind that museum there is Darbaar Hall, which is a temple and also a great symbol of beautiful architecture . I personally loved the museum. There is a government office behind. The museum opens after 10:30am and ya, dont touch anything in the museum and you are also not allowed to click the pictures inside the museum and darbaar hall too.

Good old fort it's actually a some government office now and you can visit temple there it's old building built by teak wood pillars

Historic place of Patwardhan princely state. It presently has a few Goverment offices. Do visit Darbar Hall, a nice old structure well maintained, with Ganesh idol installed. Sangli state ganeshotsav is celebrated here. Also there is small museum worth visiting.
