Sangamam Residency - Indoor lodging in Tirur - Malappuram, India

Quaint hotel, not overtly luxurious, but does the basics well enough. The rooms are decent for the price - some of the upholstery could be better, but it's not dirty - just a little dated. The view from the river facing rooms are beautiful, as long as you don't look too closely at the waste on the river. That's not the hotel's fault though - just people littering. During the rains it's a lot more pleasant, and the uninstructed view of the shore opposite lined with coconut trees along its bank are quintessential Kerala. The hotel is walking distance from most places that are important. Meals can also be ordered at the room from one of the best restaurants in Tirur called "Sabka". All in all - an excellent value for money property, which will reward a proper expectation for the price you're paying.

Attended a birthday function in the hall in the ground floor. Nice and spacious hall for small gatherings. The balcony facing the river is an advantage.

Room is large enough to cater the need of a two/three member family. Bed, pillows towels etc are clean. Floor and wall are also neat but cockroches are marching on the floor. Room alloted to us was with wider windows allowing sunlight and air if desired. But the curtains seems very old. Windows of our room were opening to a river but the view is not a peasant one due to presence of plastic and waste. The room allotted have two parts. First we are entering into a small room furnished with a coat and small table. From this room only we can enter the main room. Both are separated with door lockable from main room. This arrangement is very convenient for those who are traveling with a driver/maid. No attached bathroom available for the annexed room. Though just 100 away from main road, the place is calm. Very limited parking space only available and no car porch is available. If it is raining you have to step-down from vehicle into the rain. Tirur railway station is not far away. Behavior of staff desrves particular appreciation. No restaurant is attached with this hotel. But, some reputed restaurants near will serve your food by a phone call. Some restaurants available within walkable distance. Not misguided by some body to Sangam restaurant instead of Sangamam residency.

Hi quality conference hall for small function and good atmosphere, very near to Lake and in budget.

Nice and beautiful residence at riverside. Calm and quiet ambience with necessary exclusion from the unwanted noises of town. Easy to reach and enough parking. AC and Non-AC rooms available. The conference hall accommodates hundred persons. Suitable for small gatherings.

Air conditioned auditorium with a great view. The outside sitting area in the back is really nice. Siting on the benches watching the river flowing camly would make your day. The only downside I felt is its small size.

Decent hotel I found after cancelling my stay at Grand Palace Hotel. I would have given 1 more star if they had elevators in the building. The hotel is not visible from the road. It has got good view of back waters. Only air conditioned room available in the hotel. I did not run the a.c. due to cool weather the ceiling fan was sufficient. Complementary breakfast available which starts at 8:30am in the morning.
