Sandy Shores Beachstay - Resort hotel in Kumta, Kagal - Uttara Kannada, India

I love this place and hence I keep coming here. I've come solo, with friends and with my family too. This place is so clean and peaceful. The staff here are so good and have great hospitality. They ensure to address your requirements and the service is completed on time. The shack here is awesome and the staff is also good. The food is prepared fresh and I love the sea food here. Everyday the owner of the shack only goes and gets the fishes, crabs, prawns and other stuff specially. The hospitality is top class. I highly recommend it. The beach is right in front of the accommodation.

The perfect place for a relaxing and serene getaway. we recently visited the property and stayed for 3 nights. The beach is less than 50 Mt away and the stay is very comfortable. The staff is very courteous, the owners are very accommodating. We are very impressed with the hospitality and the icing on the cake is 3 paw-some trio! Highly recommend a visit here!

If you want to have a place out of the hustle, this can definitely be the place to stay. Calm, peaceful and serene, the place is just on the sea shore. Beautiful surroundings as well. Specially if you drive down in rainy season, you will get he feel of real western ghats. They have a restaurant which really serves outstanding food. But do note that it is made to order so waiting time for the food to arrive on your table is high. Also note that as of the date we went they have just 4 huts so may not be always available.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this offbeat beach retreat, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. The tranquility and serenity of the location were unmatched, offering a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The beach access was a definite highlight, providing endless opportunities for seaside strolls and breathtaking views. I can't wait to return to this hidden gem of a beach retreat.

Great experience, amazing and helpful hosts. The room we booked was shown a bit bigger in photos so we upgraded to other room that was a bit spacious but can be better maintained. Location is a bit tricky so I would suggest getting a rental from kumta station area itself before reaching here as the autos charge Rs400. Otherwise its the perfect location you can find for a peaceful stay.

I had a booking for 5 people, this review based on my experience. Pros The Location which rejuvenate your soul, you can enjoy peace & beach. you can spot pecocks around the place. Cons There is big gap price and quality of food served in this place. price is at higher side when compared with quality. The bedspreads doesn't look clean, we had given additional bed which is neither hygienic nor comfortable. The toilet was not clean, leakage through roof tiles during rainy days. We encountered few insects in toilet :) I would not recommend this place elderly & family with small kids based on my experience on stay. Apart from that you can really enjoy the location & serinity it offers.

Had a pleasant stay here. Great experience, amazing and helpful hosts. Food was great. Good place with access to the beach. You can have your private time here with no doubt.

We booked this place based on other reviews. But the place did not meet expectations as set forth by reviews. Rooms and bathrooms were large. Room was clean, bathrooms were not as there were lot of spider webs, lizard droppings in the bathroom. The approach road was pathetic. It was a muddy road full of exposed rocks that can hit the vehicles from below. Rains a few days before had caused water logging at many places along the road. Vehicles were getting stuck in the mud. Basically don't book this place around rainy season. The beach was far from secluded and serene. There was a lot of trash - plastic wrappers, bottles, nets, clothes, etc on the beach. Also people from the fishing community of the place were on the beach the whole time. As such, nothing serene or secluded about it. Food was decent, nothing extraordinary. The staff was good, but the location was bad. At least, far from what was described in reviews.
