I found Samudra Adventures when I was searching for a good Scuba diving centers in Pondicherry with a fine balance of quality and price. What was supposed to be another event among many in my trip, turned out to be the highlight of the trip as I ended up having a brilliant experience and making our group's day (and the rest of our trip) thoroughly an enjoyable and memorable one. The instructors and other staff were very warm and kind people who trained us properly for the dive and were very patient throughout the whole process, esp. during the dive itself, which I believe is very important for this sport as it would be life-threatening otherwise. Their facility has good quality equipment and we got excellent training beforehand which covered all the aspects necessary to perform our dive successfully. We then headed on to our site, an artificial reef called Marianna's reef (not sure if it was a portmanteau to "Mari anna", which was name of the boatman/fisherman who took us there or a fancy name that they just came up with) that apparently was formed by the same institute with the help of the local fishermen, which had varieties of fish, ranging from groupers, snappers, sweetlip fishes and many more along with a lot of tied palm leaves. The depth of this was reasonable and was something in the range of 60-70 feet (~20 meters) but the best part was that they had sunk a boat to form a home for the fish enabling divers to see a lot of them every dive. We spent what felt like 20-25 minutes under the water and it was worthwhile for the price we paid. Even after having returned back home to my city, I can still recollect the beautiful aquatic life that I saw and remember the exhilarating experience of my first dive. I would highly recommend this place for any new (or even experienced divers) who are looking for a nice dive with a wonderful group of instructors.

When you are in Pondicherry don't miss this epic adventure there is nothing can match the feeling when i did this i am completely immersed into the new world where we can speak with fishes and play with them and the team is absolutely best The coordination from Augustin and breifing from Anand and pool session by hamil and boat ride was splendid and boat captain was experienced and cool showing the natural trail of mangrove before getting into the ocean thank you so much guys for giving this beautiful memories

It was an exciting water sport to do in Pondicherry and very famous as well. We were 4 people and had done scuba diving together. It was totally fun and thrilling to do so. Been underwater itself was exciting and watching fishes so close was a lifetime memorable experience. The Dive masters were more friendly and cool. Loved the experience, the coach and trainer were very experienced and patient with, been an non swimmer i was very afraid at first but they taught us everything amd prepared us before the actual dive. Will recommend to everyone who is visiting to pondicherry to experience this. Note: if you have motion sickness, please take a tablet before your session.

I strongly recommend SAMUDRA ADVENTURES for the ppl looking for a great scuba diving experience... It was our first diving experience, i had this in my bucket list for a very long time, and my friend who joined with me was very nervous. Before diving we had a briefing session and pool session to help us understand the equipment usages. I was tensed and excited at the same time, but my friend was very nervous and she said she don't want to do it immediately aft she dived into the sea. But the instructors and diving masters made her calm and comfortable first and then they took us to the amazing under water experience. I really thank each one of you at the Samudra adventures for everything you people have done for us. We stayed at their cottage for 2 days and the stay and food was also amazing... it felt like our home only. Instructor Afeef, masters - Manu, Saji, Anand, Hamil and Anand thank you so much guys, you ppl played a great role in making our pondi trip so much memorable. Much love

Good scuba diving experience. Pranav, Akshay and Ritwik are good company and will make you confident for your first dip. It involves a pool training and only when you feel confident you are taken to the sea. They also have long courses if you get further interested in scuba.

We were a group of 4 non-swimmers and had never scuba-dived before. Anand and the team were extremely patient and made sure we learnt all the necessary skills during the training. I panicked a lot due to my fear of drowning but Hamel and Anand during training and onsite helped me calm my nerves and enjoy the amazing diving experience. We dived at Arvind's wall which is an artificial reef, but the beauty of it was no less, we spotted around 6 types of fish schools and it was an amazing experience overall. They also clicked complimentary pictures and videos for us which made it even more better. Highly recommend diving with these guys!!
