Samiira on Ashtamudi Lake - Resort hotel in Kollam - Kollam, India

As an architect, I found this stunning property to be a great example of kerala's architectural history. Service was excellent and the rooms well appointed.

Samira Resort in Ashtamudi is a total paradise with amazing views of Ashtamudi Lake. The place is pure luxury and is worth every penny. The staff are so welcoming! The food is next level, especially the Karimean pollichathu- they serve up everything from local delights to global treats, all tasting like a slice of heaven.

We stayed here for one night. Fabulous property, lush green landscape adjacent to the lake. Wonderful heritage style architecture, exceptional attention to detailing. The rooms are spacious, beautiful and with clean restrooms. Food is available on prior notice and very well prepared with homely flavours. Staff are very helpful. A brilliant stay, I would definitely like to visit again

Chose this location my a pre-wedding shoot. They charged 3000 rs for two hours. Chose this just because the place is so damn beautiful.

The rooms are very spacious and we'll equipped. They have a window facing the lake, with roll down blinds, which would mostly be rolled down for privacy reasons as other guests use the corridor as well. If you have nothing to hide, roll the up anyway. The corridor however, has comfortable-cushioned seating facilities where you could chill at anytime. The property area is quite small but the garden has gazebos where the guests could relax. They could benefit from adding more activities to the property. The breakfast buffet is average with the regular bread, butter, jam, coffee/tea and a typical malayali breakfast item. For the price paid the spread is not that great. If you wish to order lunch or dinner, you may want to place that ahead of time as those are prepared on request. Instead you may explore other eateries in the city. The vicinity isn't all vegetarian friendly but for fish lovers, it could be a paradise. The staff are quick to respond to queries and provide assistance.

What an amazing sanctuary of peace and tranquility. Lush green surroundings and well appointed, spacious rooms. I stayed in a room on the top level with a huge wide balcony. Waking up to views across the lake was priceless. The staff were also incredibly attentive and helpful, especially Robin who made our stay one to remember.
