A pleasant destination in Kollam district for enjoying with friends or family; the atmosphere is good. Bus services are available from Anchalumoodu (Prakkulam bus). The booking office is situated 100m from the bus stop, with parking for private vehicles nearby. Boat service from the booking office to the island is priced at Rs 150 per head (including both sides). Upon reaching the island, small boats are available for exploring the area at Rs 50 to 100 per head (based on distance). Also, please remember to keep the area free from plastic waste, Guys
Good place to hang out but full of waste. Also the boat charge to reach island to a distance of about 150 metre is Rs.150 per person which is overpriced.

Amazing experience can have it here. Safe and secure water lake. Snacks n sea food is available at the location. Boating is cheaper. Beautiful location for clicks. Children will enjoy the water.
Wonderful place to visit atleast once. It has boating service at affordable cost to the island where we can have a beautiful view around and enjoy the water. No cloak room or changing room is available there is the only flaw there. Have to carry all our belongings to the island. Try to avoid footwear. Wear clothes accordingly as we will have water above knees normally.
It is absolutely worthwhile to visit if you are in Kollam. To get to the island, which is called Samranikudi, you must use their boat service. One of the best things I discovered was that the boat tickets were far less expensive than those at other tourist hotspots. We paid 450 rupees for three members because there were three of us. You can eat lunch in a restaurant that is close to the ticket counter. The island is fine, although it does not appear to be clean. There were several garbage dumped into the water, and it appears to be filthy. We spent about an hour on the island shooting photos and films, and since it wasn't too hot, it was a lot of fun. There is a small shop that offers pickles, and we tried the mango pickles, which were delicious. Don't forget to bring a bottle of water. In any case, a nice area for a picnic.

This is a perfect spot for a weekend trip in Kollam. The lake is so beautiful and mesmerizing and the island here is a man made Island covered with mangroves. The water around the island is so shallow which allows you to walk through it. There are boating services to and from the island throughout the day till 5pm. After 5pm they'll start fishing activities and boat movement is not entertained. So make sure to wear clothes that can be adjusted till knee height coz you should not miss walking along the water. For those who don't want to wet their legs can simply just go to the island or can enjoy the amazing breeze and beauty of lake in the nearby children's park. I strongly recommend spending some time at park just behind the manalil temple nearby. That place is so awesome.
Nice sandbank at the middle of the huge lake . Literally a nice experience. One should get a boat to get there so as to experience the sight. Try going there past 3 or 4 as its too sunny and too crowded. Avoid weekends.
