Sambar Pure Veg - Aromas of South - Restaurant in Pune - Pune, India

"Aromas + Taste of the South" South Indian breakfast is equivalent to best start for the day. And for that authentic crave, I stepped in Sambar! First came, Mysore Masala Dosa with such a delicious lustre accompanied with Coconut chutney and Sambar. It was so full of flavour. Next ushered in, Onion Utappa sprinkled with lush green coriander sided with same condiments. Button Idli was a surprising delight. Small baby idlis laying with dry Coconut chutney and sides. I wouldn't say it's a go-to option if you are hungry but it's just cute idlis resting in a bowl. The ambience is super clean and shiny. I also liked how Dosa and uptappa was served on Banana leaf. The displays which are on with South Indian delicacies on shuffle is good touch and helps you opt for ordering new stuff you might shrug to. (Button idli)

If you are looking for an authentic south indian food test then I must recommend it. The taste was good. Some items are only on the menu card not in real. But overall a good experience.

This place has an amazing ambience, ample seating capacity and affordable prices. Their filter coffee is so soothing and caffeinating. Also they serve scrumptious South Indian food like idli, dosa, vada, utappa, bhajis, etc. The chutney, sambar and rassam is good in quality and tasty. Do visit once if in Pune! <3

To be very honest, compared to the other sambar visits I've had in the other areas in Pune, this one was pretty underwhelming. Ambience wise, there's nothing so great, couple of chairs for outdoor seating and indoors seemed pretty cramped up. The food quality was sub par I must say, mysore bun was pretty bland and even the South Indian meal was nothing special. Sambar is known for their authentic filter coffee and as a verified South Indian myself, I can assure you there was absolutely nothing authentic about this coffee. It really felt like the digoction they used was probably atleast 3-4 days old because neither the aroma nor the taste was acceptable. For their usual standards, I must say this was not at all impressive. Do think twice before visiting this particular branch.

Great place to sample authentic mysore veg food and filter coffee and light on the pocket too. There is ample seating avaliable avaliable outdoor and indoor on 2 levels. Service is super fast and courteous. The have super tasting dosas, idlis and wadas served with my favourite tangy sambar, coconut chutney and red chutney. Also had their filter Coffee which was amazing and a steal at just 20 rs. Then had an utapam with masala which was different and tasty. Then had the amazing hot mangalore buns served with a subji and chutney which was really nice with its banana flavour haven't had this before and is now one of my favourites. Then had the unique dahi wada which has a unique flavour and was served with masala bondi farsan to be eaten together. Next had their special South Indian thali which has so many yummy veg items with a pulav and payasam. In dessert we had pineapple Shera which had real pieces of pineapple and gulab jamun. Highly recommended this place for a quick snack or a full meal superb quality and taste of every item. Food 5/5 Ambience 4/5 VFM 5/5

Tried Uttapa & Podi Idli here. Taste of Sambar, Coconut Chutney is awesome. Self service is there.

Service was very slow. Also when I visited they have only 2-3 items available out of menu. Taste is good. Rates are very high. If you only want to taste some good South Indian food then i recommend to go here, but don't expect the good service.

Loved the taste ! Had Swamy combo and masala dosa...combo costed 120 rs and included dosa, idli, medu vada, pineapple shira, upama, sambar and chutney along with filter coffee. Found it quite cost friendly and taste was too good ..must try...
