Located approx 10 kms from njp railway station. Located near bengal safari salugara. You can hire a to to rickshaw from bengal safari to reach the monastry. Opening hours 9 am to 5 pm. Large open space. Surrounded mahananda wildlife Sanctuary and by the river.

Very calm and soothing place. I went there in an unknown but reached there to some known as you are out of this siliguri. Felt Tibet to the biggest extent. Met students who were studying. They were very friendly. In all you should go there in early evening spend some time. It gives peace of mind
Close to the city on the road from Siliguri to Darjeeling. Right on the road ( No parking space available). When we went renovation and maintenance was going on. About half an hour should suffice at this place. Definitely is beautiful, peaceful and soothing.
While the monastery looks nice from outside it is closed from March 2020 due to covid lockdowns. I had visited in Nov 2021 and it is still closed. It might be good to avoid the place till it reopens as it's little away from other tourist places and there isn't much to see here as it's closed. The same is the case with most monasteries in Darjeeling and Kalimpong too. Only the Japanese temple in Darjeeling has reopened.
