Salu Marada Thimmakka Tree Park - Park in Badagabettu - Udupi, India

I visited this a week ago and during noon time and there were only a few people around. You need an entry ticket that charges you 15/- rs per person to enter this place and accepts only cash. The place is divided into 2 sectors. Next to the ticket counter is the Tree park and opposite to it is the kadalakere theme park. 1. Tree park - It's a family picnic place where you can enjoy sight seeing and boating. Pedal Boating charges around Rs.150/- for two people for 25min and electric boating charges around Rs. 250-300/- depending on short or long distance. If you are interested in boating then the best time to visit is from the month of October to December. Since in other months due to climate the water level will go low and the boating area will not be active. There are good photoshoot places within and i got quite good pics for insta too. This place also includes varieties of Bamboo trees and medicinal park and have a clean walking path to cover them all. Better to finish the tour before sunset as you can be a dinner for mosquitos . 2. Kadalakere park - Place was not crowded at all given i visited on a week day. The place is as it says it's a park. Mainly it's an activity area for the childrens. Slides, swings, physical activity area. Any family who visits with children no doubt this would be a full package of entertainment. The place was very quiet so i got some good reels and pics as well . Mainly for children and family. Anyways there is no food or souvenir available here nor anywhere near by to this place. It's better to carry some light snacks and water bottles of your own. This place has given shelters to college bunk students and lovers who can be found here and there near boating and the park area. There is no special parking place but there is enough space right outside the counter to park vehicles. Good for a 1 time visit.

Nice place to roam around with kids

It's really amazing. For adults entry fee is Rs20 and for minors it's Rs10 and for babies and small children it's free. There is lot to see. You'll definitely enjoy. Can spent some time in the evening. There is a place for children to play. They have washroom and cafeteria inside. Must visit once

I really enjoyed my visit to this park. Such a nice place to have a quality time with your friends and family. The park is well maintained and there is a playing area for kids too. Reasonable entry fee. Not many eateries infact just one. If you are taking food then please do not litter. This place is away from the town Manipal so getting an autorickshaw is difficult. Still a worthy place to visit.

This is a well maintained park, which gives great nature experience for people living in city. It has a lot of ply area which includes swings, slides and see-saw. It also has the cultural figures. Entry fees: Above 12 years: 20 INR Below 12 years: 10 INR THE PARK WILL BE CLOSED ON MONDAY

Me and my sister went there. We liked the place we enjoyed a lot ,there is a place called mini water falls we liked that too but in that there is no single drop of water we missed that water falls experience . In tree park they informed about some Animals . Totally we liked it if you are a nature fan you must visit .

It's a good experience for environmental lover it's heaven well maintained by forest department.while entering 20 Rs per ticket will issued. From start point to end you will get lot and lot of information about animals, plants and trees.for children below 14 years there is a small play games is there so that kids will enjoy that. In every step you see different of species various plants and flowers. You can spend half day easily . before entering make sure you have drinking water. Monday closed... Nice park with play areas and walking trails.. A mini waterfall is there, animal models are placed from starting to end of the whole park.. Nice place to walk and kids will love it..
