Paradise for birds and nature lovers. It's a beautiful feeling to take a leisurely stroll inside it. Majestic mangroves are everywhere. The bamboo walkway adds such a rustic feel to the whole experience. One must go inside applying odomos as there's mosquitoes inside. Amazing place overall. We spotted birds and crabs and some orange kinda bugs and unique fiddler crabs Migratory birds come in winters. During monsoons, there's no migratory birds. But it still feels amazing to visit in monsoon The bamboo walkway was under maintenance and was not allowed the walk on it m. However we found a family on it and informed them that the walkway is broken and not supposed to be used. They said they too were informed about it but climbed on it to just get photos.

We went on the month of September when there was no birds inside the sanctuary but we enjoyed the nature walk inside, through the trails. Also saw many tiny creatures like variety of crabs, small snake, some shelled organisms, some butterflies etc and this sanctuary is filled with mangroves. Information about plants and creatures are given in different boards. Entry fees for adult is 100 and there is concession for students. Students don't forget to bring your college ID card.

Best to get here early in the day.About a 1km walk through the mangrove, on a path.Sub-trails(bamboo walk) was closed. Only a few birds were seen at 9:30am,like the Collared Kingfisher, but saw other stuff like crab species, fish species, mudskippers, eels, etc. Forest dept. has put up boards with information on the mangroves and what you can find there to make the walk interesting. I felt the entry fee(adult-Rs.100) was a tad bit overpriced, for what's on offer and given the cheaper pricing of other protected areas in Goa. Also, the tide brings some trash on and near the walking trail, which didn't look maintained by the concerned authorities. That being said, a nice space for both adults and kids to experience a mangrove ecosystem up close. P.S: Come prepared to deal with a lot of mosquitoes, especially during the monsoons.

We visited on 4th Sep early morning by 7am. However we couldn't spot any birds there as this is off season. As per the people at the counter, the best time to visit is winter when you can spot many migratory birds. The forest is full of greenery. You can see lot many crabs and tape worms. The entrance ticket is Rs.100 per head. This place is situated on Chorao island on the banks of river Mandovi and can be reached through ferry from Ribander. This can also be reached through road, but a longer route. This place has paved walkways goes through mangroves.

Calm peaceful place. Bamboo bridge definitely adds asset to this place. Early morning is best time to visit this place if you are interested in bird watching. You can also find unique crabs here. Mangroves form best structure and that was wonderful to watch. They even offer boat ride.

Amazing Trail through the mangroves. Was there at 8:30 am on a Summer morning so got two see only two species of birds. You might also get to see the crabs digging into the ground. Attention Bamboo boardwalk is closed for maintanence for the past 3 months. Also the watch tower is closed. Best time to visit is 6am to 9am for spotting birds. Also the best season is winter.

We visited this place in August. You need to take ferry to reach the sanctuary. As it was off season we could hardly spot any birds. Trail was OK but the watch tower and bridge access was closed.
