Salaulim Dam - Tourist attraction in Curdi VP - South Goa, India

This place is in South Goa and one must plan to visit this. One must walk from the main gate to the actual dam for around 100 meters. Then there are few steep steps up to actually see this amazing human creation. Would not recommend taking senior citizens as they might find it tough to climb stairs. However you may inquire if they allow vehicle up to the dam. Also there are no Goa transport buses to this place. Only option is own transport. So plan accordingly. Id proof is required to take entry ticket. But all this is totally worth it. Pictures cannot capture the actual creation. You need to see it to experience it.

This is truly a #goabeyondbeaches kind of place. The dam is one of a kind. It's a duck bill dam which is an engineering marvel. Plays an important role in the irrigation and drinking water supply. This is a must visit and gives a batman kinda vibe. Best time to visit is in the monsoon. The botanical garden is very beautiful too and during the monsoon , this whole area becomes exceptionally gorgeous

We visited this place in the last week of August 2023. This place is around 62km from Panjim. A beautiful dam with a beautiful botanical garden. This is a unique and different kind of a dam. Unlike other dams where we see multiple gates controlled based on water levels in the catchment area, this has a single outlet and water spills into when the level goes up beyond 42m. This is quite beautiful especially during monsoons. There is huge catchment area of 209 square km and the dam length is approx 1km. The dam belongs to Water resources department, Govt of Goa. There is a beautiful botanical garden adjoining the dam and neatly maintained by Goa Forest development corporation Ltd. There is an entry ticket of Rs.60 per adult. It will be better to carry your own food and water. There are no food stalls.

Salaulim Dam is in South Goa. Trip is far away but should visit in morning or in rainy season to get more good experience. Take times to visit full place so go in morning with food inside and water to hydrated yourself. No photo or video allowed nearby the Dam. Awesome waterfall on otherside of dam great experience. Big garden on entrance with cool environment neat and clean place. Entries fees 60/- for Adults 30/- for children above 5years

Beautiful dam surrounded by tons of greenery. This place is pure bliss and a joy for a nature lover. The dam's water level must be high for the gates to open. So visit only in peak monsoon (from August to November).

What a wonderful place to spend a couple of hours or take one's family out on a picnic. Sufficient parking, entry ticket costs 60 rupees. Of course. The highlight being the dam itself. Stays hidden as it's far away from the tourist's Goa, and that's probably a good thing.

It is one of the best places in South Goa. It has an entry fee of Rs 60 for adults. Drone is not allowed indide. You have to submit ur IDs at the entry (at least 1 person from the group) After entry, you have to walk around 1km and then a few steps. After reaching on top, the view is just to do mesmerizing. Absolutely worth the effort.

Best place to visit on weekend.. Also park situated near the dam... you can relax and enjoy it...
