The location is a bit tough to reach. The staff is casual . The rooms are a bit clean though also the bathroom. The restaurant was pretty good It's been 1 and a half years since we went there and stayed at the hotel, but believe me it's worth to see Kanchenjunga from the balcony and having the sips of the tea that baurchi dada made.. We were a team of 11 they gave us a press decent service.the mall road is also 5mins away we have elders with us so we took taxi from local stands which cost around Rs500 from mall to Sala Trees
The ambience and conditions was very bad. Could not stay a single night ,Overall a horrible experience for two hours. It was booked for 3 day's by travel agent but we changed this hotel within 2 hours at no refund cost....Please be careful and take wise decision
This place is disgusting. There is no fan in room and no ventilation. The location is very difficult to reach. The staff is too casual and they don't attend the guests properly. The mattress, toilet, blanket and bed is far below average standards. I regret staying at salatree. The pictures are misguiding. Don't look at pictures and book the room. Highly unprofessional and substandard experience.
Staff behaviour is good. I stayed here for 2 days. food quality and taste is good. service is also good.
Bathrooms in bad condition. Taps and shower leaking. Bedding was worst and rooms were stinking. Restaurant was worst don't even try. For the sake of complementary breakfast, they only have luchi and bread tea that is also limited quantity.
If I had an option to give minus I would have done that. Such a pathetic service. The hotel is unclean. The staffs behaviours are rude. The failed to provide basic facilities. They cut the powers of some rooms to save electricity. When we asked them the member started yelling that "don't show attitude. Don't talk like you have booked entire hotel". The rooms are very small and full of fungus everywhere.the bed sheet and pillows are so dirty that you have to carry extra bedsheet to cover them up. Blood stains all over the bedsheet. The windows screens are also dirty. Over all one of the worst hotel I have ever seen
The location was a little off from the centre, the room wasn't that clean, got blood and yellow stains on the bedsheets and towels. The room smells wired as well. The price is not as advertised since I wasn't booked online, after I showed them the advertised price then only the agreed with it but with a little extra. Be careful if you doing laundry with them, the will ripped you off and charge crazy prices. Some of the staff seemed happy after they scammed me with the laundry. Try to avoid this place and there's a lot more convenient and great places around town.
It is one of the most favorite hotels I have stayed at in Darjeeling. Great view, great people and great food. Hotel staff are very helpful and cooperative. I will recommend everyone to stay there.
