Excellent from the word go. Lovely and helpful staff, comfortable and clean rooms, beautiful view. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend Sal Riviera as the best place to stay in Goa
The view is very beautiful from the room. The place is well maintained and cool to be with. The calm waters of river Sal make you enjoy peace. The mangroves add to the beauty. The rooms are clean and organised with necessary equipment.
It was a horrible experience for me and my family. It is a hotel located in inside of lanes which got very dangerous while coming at night after having dinner. Secondly, the most ridiculous part was the receptionist who was very rude and very disrespectful in her tone. She lied about the policies and was trying to manipulate us as we arrived. Overall, it was a very very bad experience for me and my family. We moved out of it the next morning.
I would try and divide this post into Pros and Cons for a more comprehensive Review. Pros 1. Location and View - This property in Cavelossim is a little offbeat for tourists who love the crowd, but the river view cottages are indeed a treat for the eyes for nature lovers like me. The photos I uploaded would definitely speak for me, although not beach front, the property is 5 mins walk away from Cavelossim beach. 2 Hospitality - Of all the budget properties I have explored in Goa, the Hospitality in Sal Riviera is noteworthy. Miss Rekha is always prompt at the reception with a smile to attend to all the needs of the guests. Thanks Miss Rekha for the warm hospitality. 3. Food - The food is very good and tasty. Mr. Rene, the Restaurant manager is very helpful in all aspects. Although the orders take 30 mins to reach your plate and the helping is a little smaller compared to other restaurants, but they are no doubt fresh and cooked to perfection. 4. Rooms and Decor - I had booked a River View Wooden Cottage, and the room was excellent, the amenities include a Refrigerator, a Television, an Electric Kettle, a Working Table and a Cupboard with a Safe. Most Importantly the view from the balcony and the room is mesmerizing. The entire resort has numerous plants and a beautiful garden, which adds to the beauty of your stay. Cons 1. We definitely missed a swimming pool, it would be a picture perfect summer destination if they had provisions for a pool. 2. The garden restaurant although is not used much, except breakfast, the food is generally serviced in the rooms of the guests, but given the summer in Goa, we would surely be more comfortable in an Air Conditioned section of restaurant in the river front area. 3. There seems to be a miscommunication between online booking websites like Agoda, Booking, MakeMyTrip and the property, so I would recommend directly Booking with the property, or atleast confirming your booking with the property even if you use any website.
Totally amazing riverside property. It was so peaceful and a treat to the eyes. Definitely spend at least one night if you're planning a trip to South Goa. Location is a bit offbeat but well connected to the market.
This is a great hotel to stay if you're looking to go to the beach but not be on the main road. A 7 minuet walk to the beach, 5 minuet walk to shops, super close to many restaurants as well. The hotel was clean, breakfast was good in the morning and staff were kind and helpful. The river is near the hotel is beautiful and incredibly peaceful. There is a restaurant next door that is also pretty good, 4/5 stars.
Easily one of the best places to stay in Cavelossim and friendly on the pocket as well. Extremely peaceful. We got one of the standard rooms with the river view and it was extremely soothing to sit on the balcony and enjoy my drink as the river gently flowed. Coming to the rooms, the standard rooms are not that spacious but sufficient for two people. For families with kids, I would suggest the suite room. Each room is equipped with all the essentials (fridge, AC e.t.c.). The bathrooms are clean and spacious. Staff behaviour is extremely nice. Rooms are cleaned on a daily basis on request. Parking space is less. However, we went there when the season was just about to start and hence we did not have any issues with parking. Don't expect lunch or dinner here as they don't have a fully fledged restaurant. You can have your breakfast here (they'll charge 500/- extra per day for that). However, there are ample good restaurants nearby. For breakfast, I would recommend Cafe Nash. For lunch and dinner there's Fisherman's Wharf, Mike's Place e.t.c.
We stayed here for 4 nights in the wooden cottage. Rooms are good along with mini fridge, locker and hot water cattle. 24/7 running hot and cold water is available in the bathroom. Room is quite enough for 2 people to stay. They provide free car parking. Main attraction of this hotel is the Sal River. They have 2 cottages along side river with river view balcony. Balcony is quite spacious with 2 chairs and a table. It's just over the river balcony. Food options are limited but good in taste. One can talk to the chef and guide him if you want some changes in the food.
I had a wonderful time at this resort! The picturesque location, impeccable service, and luxurious amenities made my stay truly memorable. From relaxing by the pool to indulging in delicious meals at the on-site restaurant, every moment was a delight
This place was awesome. We enjoyed a lot. The minor beach was neat and clean. Sea view restaurants. The trip was memorable. Specially for activity like Jetsky, banana boat ride, and specially parasuit fly through boat rope.
Amazing food and service. An Seine place for a stay. Thanks Rommel for making it stay the best. Hats off for the warm hospitality given to us and staging things at a short notice. We were blessed and felt like home. Cheers
Neat, clean and beautiful beach in South Goa with very less crowd and surrounded by 5 star hotels and restaurants. Good place to hangout with friends and family to spend quality time and have great pictures.
I had the pleasure of staying at this remarkable hotel, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism by the staff. The rooms were nothing short of exceptiona

For the starters staff is good and accommodation is spacious. The building is bit old with some issues with fixtures but overall things are fine. Food service was really slow but one always have option to have food at restaurants at walking distance.
Awesome food at a very reasonable price. We were 5 and ate like full. Costed us only 1000 rupees. Taste of the food was very nice. They make everything we have asked fresh. Cut vegetables only when you order, even for french fries they cut potatoes,
