The Shakthan Bus Stand, though spacious, falls short in terms of cleanliness and maintenance. The area is marred by accumulated waste and an unsettling presence of stray dogs. The lack of upkeep leaves much to be desired, detracting from what could otherwise be a convenient and pleasant commuting space. Improvement in cleanliness and regular maintenance is direly needed to enhance the overall experience for commuters.

The condition of the bus stand is very pathetic. It is in very poor condition. Bus stand is not maintained well. Poor facilities are provided. But toilet facility is good and clean.Only private buses departing from this stand.

This bus stand is very conjusted due to spaces fir the buses. I propose to extend the bus stand further towards the south side were one more can be built. This will improve the bus parking facilities and more covenience for public.

Sakthan stand is located at a distance of one kilometer each of thrissur railway station and KSRTC bus stand and from thrissur city heart . From Thrissur to Guruvayur, Kunnamkulam, Chavakkad (via Amala Nagar and Kanhani), Kozhikode, Kannur, Perinthalmanna, Mancheri, Kutippuram, Irinjalakuda, Kodungallur, Thriprayar (via Cherp and Kanhani), Guruvayur, Palakkad (via Vadakancherry, Alathur), Chittoor, Koduvayur , Peachy Dam buses start from here. Although it is much ahead in terms of size etc., the stand faces many limitations. The bus stand that I have been seeing since my childhood still has no significant progress. A municipal stand does not have the necessary facilities. The main building has been demolished and the time has come to build a bus stand cum shopping complex building with modern facilities.
