It's imperative to address this issue by implementing regular grass cutting and garden upkeep. Moreover, the front of the nursery classrooms poses a serious safety hazard. Some cabins are left open, creating an opportunity for snakes to enter, endangering the young children. Additionally, the absence of a safe bus facility leaves nursery kids reliant on auto-rickshaws for transport. However, these vehicles are often overcrowded and lack necessary safety measures. Wonderful location for the residential school that has been a hallmark of great education and training for students. Although I must say that it is restricted to boys only. It is located in the palace of the erstwhile Maharaja of Kapurthala and is indeed a gem on the educational institutions circuit in terms of the vast space and building. The palace was built in French architecture style and has the unmistakable stamp of Versailles on it. Built in 1908, the Sainik School though was inaugurated much later, in 1961. It is the stepping stone to the other institution that is a foundation for well groomed and good quality officers in the armed forces, the National Defence Academy (NDA). Open to boys for Class VI to XII, the only exception is perhaps for girls who are daughters of the staff. There is a written entrance exam for admission. The school is located on the sprawling grounds and therefore is never short of playing ground or parade ground. The presence of military equipment on permanent exhibition or display on the grounds is a source of motivation who study here. There are 12 houses in the school that serve to motivate and extract the competitive spirit of young minds.

Love this school, very well maintained, cleaned and entire campus is full of greenery. This School having a well maintained museum showcasing the history of the city. There is a bus stop for the buses coming to Kapurthala from Jalandhar which is nearly 100 meters from School Main entrance.
