Started in 1962 this is a great institution which prepares and grooms the boys and now girls for becoming commissioned officers of Indian Army, IAF, Indian Navy after successfully passing National Defence Academy (NDA) exam . Students from rural and needy backgrounds can develop officer like qualities from Class VI to class XII. Most notable alumni Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha was the student of this institution. Students get up in working days at 5.30 go for PT then school from 7.30 to 1.30 PM In the evening games after which evening prep class ensues. After dinner at dining hall students go to bed around 10.30pm. One of the best residential public school in Eastern India under Ministry of Defence.

Then let me tell you this school only focuses on students who have scored upto their mark ..! And don't even lookn who have the capabilityOnly less than 2 to 3 cadets get to NDA among 58 cadets . Success rate is very less!
