SAILANI ISLAND RESORT (M.P. State Tourism Devl Cor. Ltd) - Resort hotel in Omkareshwar - Khargone, India

Overall experience was great. Luxurious room, clean and well maintained. Food is nice quality can be improved more. Scuba diving too costly rest fun water rides.

Perfect holiday stay at a reasonable price. Basically, this resort has been built on an island. There r 2 ways to reach this island, one from Omkareshwar temple side (preferable option-don't follow Google maps, read the directions board or take instructions from hotel) and the other from badhwa side (route is longer, goes through the jungle and road is bad). For 10k per night per person, u get a big room with a giant bathroom, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Has lot of water activities at a dirt cheap rate. Highly recommended scuba where ur taken 40 feet below. The dive master, Mr Yasser is perfect. Main attraction of the scuba is the temple which got submerged when the dam was built. In terms of negatives, food I thought was very average and the seating arrangement in the restaurant is not proper.

The island resort is very peaceful and scenic with top notch hospitality. One can enjoy the rush in their life with most comfortable and peaceful stay there. The only and most important suggestion is please don't visit the place at evening or night time. There are two ways to reach the island either you take left turn before approx 15-17 kms from Omkareshwar temple and drive for next 20 Kms to dense forest area with no one in between and most scary place to travel once its dark and another is can take right turn before 2 Kms of Omkareshwar temple and travel for 6-7 Kms, which is comparatively way too safe and easy to reach temple if you plan to visit and they have boat club in both of the places. A huge appreciation to staff working their, they are very humble and help you with anything. Also they don't have bar their so get your arrangements accordingly. And a request to staff to atleast guide the customer to not come from the forest at night. It might be very common for you all but believe it was breath taking scary moment for us. Else we had wonderful stay their.

Hi If I come by car. Is there any safe option to place the car? And Is it good time to visit Omkareshwar in the month of January end 2024

Beautifully located resort,neat room but services are very poor. One has to wait for pickup boat, kaccha approach road without any sign board for boat club. Lunch was served at 03pm insufficient quantity of items. Staff was nice but were less in number therefore delayed service. Overall experience was not as expected from mpt management.

I must say that this place is a hidden paradise. Completely away from the crowd and noise, you can just hear wind and birds. It's a state govt run property, and it has a club house with many activities like, TT and Pool Table, Carrom etc. Nice dining area with good food. If you are visiting Omkareshwar Temple and there's some scope for taking out some more time, then you wouldn't regret spending some days here.

It's a unique experience for visitors to live at the green Island in Narmada River with all facilities. It has good landscape with regular speedboat services to pick and drop visiting tourists. The food served is also very tasty. Room charges are bit higher. Also, final 2 kilometres stretch needs improvement of road.
