We were 2 people at Sahar Guest House and when we asked the receptionist for a room, she spoke to us in a very rude language because we were from Bihar, we were not given a room because we were Bihari, at first she made an excuse that A xerox copy of Aadhaar card has to be given, while we had the original card, when we arrived with the xerox copy, they said that the room is not empty, how much hatred has settled in the minds of such people, I do not understand why there is so much hatred towards Biharis. ?

This guest house is right for men, if someone wants a cheap room, you will find it here, there are two rooms which are small but have ac room. Here the service is also good, all the reliable staff, here you get an Indian bathroom. This guest house has its own restaurant, where it is good to eat, at a very low price, I just do not think that the bread does not bother me, just because there is only one weakness that this guest house is not for a family.
I dont know from where to start. The or manager is selfish and money minded (Rent). We took a room with attached bathroom and for three days of stay we couldn't even used the attach bathroom. The bathroom was stinking, Gutkas marks every where, alcohols bottle in the Toilet. we had to use the common bathroom with somewhat better condition. And the room oh God if you gonna bring a trolley you could hardly stand(3 bedded one especially), no table, broken charging point, dusted bed sheet and yes if you gonna complain or ask for help. They will charge you extra money ON THE SPOT Please it is good for Dormitory but BIG NO for FAMILY or Visitors who want to stay
Was there for 2 days .. ac room was better then any other hotel in locality .. plus size was also much better in this rate price . We paid 850 for a day . Dormatry is also available for rs 300 with ac facility and a locker.

One of the cheapest hotel near Sealdah station and surendranath college. It is very old construction, you will know just by entering the building. But the owner has maintained that very well. The furniture's are something you will not find this days.
