Amazing, awesome, spectacular and eye-soothing greens everywhere.
The trek is easy enough to do for all age people. Good trekking shoes are needed and the lish greenery will just blow your mind.
U can watch a very nice waterfall too in the mid way and a reverse waterfall too at the top of the fort.
As it's still lesser known, enjoy the peace and serenity to the fullest. Don't say much about the Public transport. Because it's Little inside the village.
Damn good place, should be explored much by the trekkers but don't ruin the place....
Amazing place and a easy grade trek. Amazkng siddeshwar waterfall enroute so one can enjoy the falls as well. Not as popular as the treks in Karjat/lonavala section but equally exciting, specially the falls.
It's a watchtower fort. Since one of the less visited forts it isn't much crowded either. The difficulty level for trekking to this place is easy to moderate. The view is really beautiful. It has waterfall and a temple as well. However, if you are trekking to the place in monsoon make sure you've got good grip in your shoes.
One of the forts less visited yet has so much character to it. We did a night trek to Sagargad as we reached early in the night. This is unique fort from where the Arabian Sea is visible too.
This is a watchtower fort. To keep an eye on the sea trade routes around alibaug. The trekking difficulty is easy to moderate according to your treking style.
Sagar fort is easy for the regular trekkers but not for the beginners .
It takes 5-6 hrs to complete the trek for a regular trekker.
There are no board for the route anywhere just you have to trek by using your own head.
There are villagers those who will guide if you ask them.
But don't go without any knowledge of the area.
Take a guide.
Or go with the group.
It's very amazing.
The top view is heavenly.
Sagargad Fort is a historical marvel that transports you back in time. Its breathtaking location offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, making the trek truly rewarding. The journey to the fort is a blend of adventure and exploration, with remnants of the past scattered along the path. The fort's architecture and strategic design tell tales of its significance in history. Sagargad Fort is a must-visit for history enthusiasts and nature lovers alike, offering a glimpse into the past while treating visitors to awe-inspiring vistas that create memories to last a lifetime.
2-3 hours trek.. there are chances you may get lost in the jungle.. ask local villagers to tag along.. They are very helpful.. visit during monsoon to witness breathtaking view from the top.
Easy trek. Best season is monsoon. Carry own food - do not litter. Waterfall is good but risky. Temple on top is nice. You can see sea from top of the hill.
