Sagar Ratna - Restaurant in Mangaluru - Dakshina Kannada, India

I was disappointed with the quality and taste of the food during my recent visit. While Sagar Ratna has been known for serving some of the best food in terms of quality and taste, this time the experience fell short. Dosas and chutneys were tasting bad with no salt at all. The Upma, in particular, was drenched in oil, which affected its overall flavor. The customer service provided was commendable, as the staff was attentive and friendly. The interior of the restaurant was well-maintained, creating a pleasant dining environment. Despite the disappointing food, I appreciate the efforts made by the restaurant in terms of customer service and maintaining cleanliness. Hopefully, they can improve the consistency in taste and quality to regain their reputation as a top-notch eatery.

Really enjoyed the gadbad ice cream (mini) here. The service was good and food taste was nice. Plus they offer valet parking service. Would recommend this restaurant to tourists visiting Mangalore.

Great place to have a meeting with snacks and tea or coffee. Had Ambade and Golli bajje. Got that Canteen food craving out of the way, since I have not had these Mangalore delicacies in about 4 years.

One of the best places for Vegetarian Snacks and meals in town. The South Indian like Idly & Varieties of Dosa and the North Indian Meals and Dishes are absolutely nice. The service is impeccable and a nice fine dining Ambiance around.

Terrible experience. Front desk staff has no idea how to manage guests. We were given an estimate of 10-15 minutes, but staff kept prioritising room guests over restaurant guests. We finally were allocated a table after 45-50 minutes. After being seated, we were given 2 glasses of water for a party of 5. After considerable waiting, we had to ask specifically for 3 more and wait for 10 minutes more! This was the trend throughout the lunch. Finger bowls? You have to ask specifically and yet you get 3 for a table of 5 - rest of you can walk to the washroom. There are no assigned waiters to tables - everyone runs around like headless chicken with no one responsible for anything. Starter was mediocre, but main course was decent. Overall service was so lacking that the entire experience was ruined. Wouldn't recommend....

One of the only few pure vegetarian restaurants in Mangalore city. You get usual South and North Indian affair and a fine dining experience. Go for large portions of main course, but you might find it short on Rice items though. Staff are courteous and patient enough to understand your preferences. Washrooms are located in the ground floor. Valet parking is such a welcome privilege across all of their branches. Brightly lit indoors and waiting area lobby will give you a relaxed feeling altogether.

They have valet parking so you dont have to worry about parking. The lobby is so warm and nice ambience. The restaurant sagar ratna is so nice and nice smell of scent diffuser and staffs are good. Food is also very tasty and yummy. I would really recommend this hotel.

Had been here for a wedding engagement. The food was superb, and the staff were well trained and professional, too. I noticed the common areas in the hotel were very clean. They also had a valet parking which was very convenient, due to an almost non-existent parking in front of the hotel.
