Sagar Kanya Hotel - Restaurant in Bakkhali - South 24 Parganas, India

During a spontaneous trip, I found myself at Benfish's Sagar Kanya, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. Being just 112 kilometers away from home, I had never given much thought to this seaside destination due to its secluded nature and lack of crowds. However, after visiting it around 15-16 times now, I can confidently say that it has become a special place for me. While exploring the various hotel locations near the seashore on Google Maps, I stumbled upon Benfish's Sagar Kanya and Sagar Guest House. Curiosity led me to their website, and I was astonished by what I discovered. For a mere 1,100 rupees, I could book a massive bedroom with a spacious balcony, an attached toilet, and a television with cable. The non-AC cottages were available for just 700 rupees. With three friends accompanying me, I quickly booked one of the AC deluxe rooms, paying through UPI. Upon arrival, the room exceeded my expectations, looking even better than the pictures. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and although the food was average, they took great care in serving it. The most appealing factor was the serene and peaceful environment surrounding the place. I fell in love with Benfish's Sagar Kanya so much that I am already planning to return in the future. It has left such a positive impression on me that I know I will keep coming back here. Note: I also visited Kargil Beach, which was a 3-4 minute walk away. It was a lovely place to visit and enjoy the beach ambiance.

Nice place to spend time with friends and family.. Its too far from Bak khali sea beach.. It is nearer from Henry Island.. overall a happy staying experience... RULES FOR RESERVATION 1. A quaint place at Frasegunj beside the Edward's Creek...worth visiting for beautiful sunsets and moonrise

The ground floor rooms are not good. Damp and not maintained properly. Toilets are clean but without geyser. Though the first floor rooms are good. Have a large lawn and garden. But again not maintained.

The worst hotel i've ever seen. Specially The cottage.The rooms are not well-maintained.1000 of millipede are there in rooms. Staff behavior is very very bad. Couldn't stay in such a bad place for a minute. Had to go to another hotel.

Waste of money, very very far from sea beach, canteen has wosrt category of food, they will provide stale and rotten food which have not been sold long. The canteen does not have raw material like vegetables etc for preparation of food instantly. Their food is supplied by third party agency from outside. If the supplied food is not sold, they refrigerate it and sell it later even if the stored food becomes stale and rotten. VERY UNFAIR!!!

Head cook is very rude, we were having dinner and in between the haed cook named Anup came and asked us to leave early as one big group were to join the dinner.

Firstly Staffs should improve their attitude ..secondly the electricity is a big issue,if you are capable of spending sleepless nights then it's a perfect destination for you .else I would prefer stay at home
