If you want to try typical dabba food this is the must try spot. They have plenty of variety for veg and non- veg. The price is so Afoardable. Ambience is friendly for old people, bcz it has a narrow steps.
I am a customer of this place since it was situated near Krishna gate , iit madras. It was a best place to recall you home food if you are north Indian. You are a fish lover no prob you will get that too. Good taste, enough quantity. But I will mention few things for the new shop, the waiting time somehow has increased drastically ( for last 2-3 visits I have waited more than 30 min ). Another issue is the stairs, too steep, climbing is even easier but for oldies getting down may be risky, so take care.

A little variety in their curries would have been good. They all taste the same. Egg delight, special bihari chicken, Karachi chicken, kofta, sattu parotta were good. We visit once every three weeks I guess.
Edit: it was a windy and cold day. Took a risk with khichadi chokha and omlette and found gold. Reminded me of back home. A little less turmeric would have made it perfect.
Sagar dhaba is running by sagar bhai, he is extremely well mannered person and cooks food by himself. The quality of roti, tadka, chicken is extremely delicious and the price range is also less as compare to other highly decorated restaurant. Let's visit dhaba once, and u will keep on visiting.... Ambience is just like a bihari dhaba only not a extremely decorated place to give a full vibe.
Food is excellent in taste. Do try the specials. Time taken for serving is a bit long. Non AC resturant so very humid.
It's a good place to eat South Indian food, the price is also cheaper than other ones.
Go to place for authentic north indian food. And it's quite cheap! Without compromising on the quality and hygiene though!
