Saffron Restaurant - North Indian restaurant in Kolkata - 24 Paraganas North, India

Saffron & Sankalp one restaurant but divided into two parts of Narth Indian as Saffron and South Indian as Sankalp. I've been to Saffron quite a few times for Lunch and Dinner food was amazing. the only Veg Restaurant in the Sector 5 Vinicity. Yesterday after meeting me and my Friend decided to have lunch at 4pm. We planned to eat south Indian as the time was odd and we wanted to keep it light Dosa Vada. as he said it was "The special & Best On the suggestion of the server we Ordered Paneer Makhani Dosa" & Rasam and the starting they served 4 types of chutney in a very smal bowl which was also half filled. Rasham vada was 3pcs of small Medu Vada Dipped in Rasam which tasted ok and not extra ordinary. The Paneer Makahni Dosa was disappointing as the Dosa and Paneer Makhani mixture quantity was tooo less in terms of Price they charge. they literally served Dosa with thick Butter Paneer Sabzi which was not at all special & extra ordinary. they didn't even served sambar until we asked. Ambience is good but according to Taste, Quantity and the heavy price they take I'm super dissatisfied. Until and Unless this is the last south Indian restaurant I won't visit to have south Indian.

To all the south Indians, your food problem is solved once you step in to this place. The taste and service was excellent for me and my dad. We had Unlimited 499/- combo food. Every bite of what we had was worth it. From the soup to the paan it was very tasty. I will visit again soon.

We opted for North Indian buffet , but it didn't quite live up to our expectations. Instead of a traditional buffet setup, they served the dishes at our table. Unfortunately, aside from the starters, soup , main course nothing met standards. The onion kulcha, in particular, resembled more of a cheela. dessert option was only one serving of icecream and 1 sweet. We feel the money spent was wasted. If they are not offering buffet then please skip the place. may be in actual buffet setup it would be better.

I had one of the most delicious buffet at the least cost possible. It was Rs 2000 (for 4 people) with unlimited lip smacking food. If you are looking forward to one of the delicious food options at the least cost. Go for it!

Had their so called unlimited buffet lunch with family and kids, Their staff is untrained in hospitality and uncourteous and they were not eager to please the diners, this came through in the conversations with us. Food quality was ok. We spent in excess of 5K and unlike other places where people go out of their way to please patrons by taking care if kids requirements even out of the menu items as complimentary, the saffron staff who served us were totally opposite. I am not social media active, however , this place's deplorable service levels need a mention and therefore this review. Do yourself a favour Give this place a skip fellow vegetarians.

This place is located at Shop R 4B, Plot, Podium Level, Godrej Waterside, 5, DP Block, Sector V, Bidhannagar, Kolkata. Recently they have launched a Italian Menu for their customer which you can't miss. Coming to the food we had : We started with Cream of Broccoli Soup, Cheese Garlic Bread and Corn Cheese Fritters. The soup was very creamy and delicious, it was a perfect appetiser to start the meal, tasted really good with the garlic bread. The fritters were perfectly crispy on the outside and very cheesy on the inside. For maincourse we had Veg Lasagna, Dal Makhani Pizza and Paneer Tikka Pizza. The Lasagna was average but I absolutely loved the Dal Makhani Pizza here, it was totally unique. If you are a Paneer lover don't forget to try their Paneer Tikka Pizza. Overall I had a great experience. I would love to recommend this place to everyone.
