Sadashivgad Fort Resort By Jungle Lodges - Resort hotel in Majali - Uttara Kannada, India

Wonderful location atop a hillock providing a breathtaking view of the Kali river meeting the sea. What makes it even more worthy is the historic backdrop of a fort nestling in the lush green forest alongside the beautiful green-hued Kali waters. The entire staff were very courteous and helpful. Manager Dinesh deserves a special mention for being efficient, friendly and was very flexible in providing all the arrangements needed. The only thing that needs to be taken care of is jungle lodge's own shuttling arrangements between Devbagh and Sadashivaghad resorts as the roads between them are too narrow and a little risky (a Jeep would be a better idea) to drive on our own. What added value to our experience was a boat trip to the boardwalk which took us to the rarely found mangrove forests.

Very quiet and peaceful stay in nature without any crowd. For any nature lover, it's a paradise. For boat ride activities, lunch, high tea and dinner you will need to go to devbag resort by own vehicle which is 20 mins drive from here. I have posted separate review for devbag resort. Staff is very courteous and polite, Mr. Chandrakant and team ensured we feel at home. On our request they even arranged morning tea to our roomsa nd ensured breakfast is ready at 8 am for our early checkout. Best staff behaviour experience I had from any government driven resort. Highly recommend.

JLR Sadashivgad and Devbagh resort has been an absolute pleasure and memorable stay. Things I liked the most: 1) Courteous staff 2) Scrumptious food 3) Location 4) Room cleanliness The staff is well trained and will pamper the guests with all means possible. Water rides (speed boating, kayaking, island trip) are a must do. Bird watching session conducted by Mr. Dilkhush was intriguing and informative. Mr. Dinesh who is incharge of the resort was very kind, coordial, and helped us with all the queries. Mr. Vinayak has always been around for any needs, he and the team also arranged a special Anniversary setup for us. Overall visit in JLR was an absolutely unwinding and relaxing.

Sdashivgad and Devbag are 4kms apart, all the activities part of the pacakge are at Devbag Beach Resort. If you have a booking with Sadashivgad Fort Resort, you will have to travel back and forth for activities and meals. Cottage no.3 at Devbag was promised by the staff there to be exclusive for guests of Sadashivgad, however, we didn't get the wash and change room for a very long time and staff was not at all helpful in providing us access to washrooms after a day long drive to reach the place. They were clueless and making false promises for close to 1 hour. Front office staff Abhijit was negligent and didn't act in right mind frame to provide us with acess to a basic facility like washroom. Their general washrooms didn't have electricity and it is in the middle of a dark place filled with insects worms and lizards, it was scary to use the washroom as it didn't have any lights. Rooms were neat and clean. Activities like dolphin watching, nature walks and watersports were organised well. Staff at Sadashivgad are helpful and caring. There were dead insects in the samabar in one of the meals.

The place and view from the resort is amazing and the staff is so polite and really helpful. Our experience with this resort is really great. While playing we actually lost the watch into the steep slope wherein there were too many trees and we cannot able to find the watch. Even staff also tried very hardly but they also can't. However, Mr. DINESH manager of the resort assured that we will find it and will courier you and yeah they did it. I really love the resort and the staff particularly Mr. Dinesh and his team. Love to visit this resort again very soon.

Best value for money of JLR offering. The view of the Kali bridge from the rooms is amazing. Fort top accommodation overlooking the river and bridge is great. Perfect sunrise and sunset views. Good food and great service.

The location of the resort is on top of a hill. The view from room no 12, of river Kali meeting Arabian sea is simply breath taking. The resort staff are very helpful. Special mention to Mr Dinesh Naik and Mr Chandrakant for their excellent hospitality. Always available with suggestions and help. And our bird watch guide Mr Guru has immense knowledge on birds and wild life. The food is simply superb and serves both veg and non-veg. Jungle lodges hospitality at its best. Highly recommend.

Awesome experience we totally enjoyed the stay. First of all the location is superb as most of the rooms give the view of the mighty Kali river joining the majestic Arabian sea. We were lucky to get room no 12,as this room has the most beautiful view. Food was homely as is always the case with Jungle Lodges. The hospitality was top notch, staff were very courteous and helpful. Do visit this place if you are a nature lover and that too in the monsoon to witness the magic For those interested in activities as a part of the vacation, they take you to their nearby Devbagh resort. Here there are some water sports available but they are chargeable and not included in the package.
