Sri Jagadguru Murugarajendra Institute of Technology (SJMIT), since its inception in the year 1980-81, over the years has become the largest provider of engineering education in central Karnataka. Today, SJMIT is also widely regarded as one of the most prestigious private academic institutions in the state with a student population of over 1500 on board and over 250 plus academic, support and administrative staff. SJMIT has produced more than 4000 B.E Degree and 20 plus M.Tech degree holders since its inception in 1980-81. Working hand-in-hand with various institutions/bodies, the institute is recognized/approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, Karnataka, and our programmes are awarded by this Technical University. We are in association with prestigious institutions like ISTE, VGST, DTE, DST and Social service bodies viz. NCC, NSS, Indian Red Cross Society, and Bio-Diesel department besides being engaged in various academic, research and social activities round the academic year. This enables us to offer our students the opportunities to work and study in India and abroad in internships and student exchange programmes.
