Rutugandh River View Resort, Wai - Resort hotel in Wai - Satara, India

Horrible experience,we spoilt our holiday. They don't have a kitchen inside the property so good was outsourced which was cold & oily. Service was also very poor & they lack staff. We are Jains and asked for jain food and they took extra charge for jain sabji, inspite of the fact that we took an all inclusive package. Owner was making tea and coffee and if we asked for something extra he gave a very unpleasant reaction. We were 7 couples and senior citizens and all of us had the most horrible experience. Worst experience in my 40 years of travel.

About this place as per recent visit - Very poor experience!!! 1) Room - In the room there were many ants, bugs on floor, bed and furniture and some lights, buttons not working 2) Washrooms was not maintained properly 3) No parking space available inside premises 4) Food quality - Very oily and cold food given to the guests even after complaining and served the lunch and dinner too late. My family did not even take the morning breakfast due to bad food quality 5) Area outside the rooms not well maintained 6) No care about the guests allowing nearby other guests to entertain late night parties causing disturbances...No rules followed 7) Less number of staff members to handle the guests 8) Food not cooked inside the resort, they will get it prepared from outside and serve you Only the advertisement is done good on google and website which is not at all available in the same way.. So overall it's not at all worth and value in spending your valuable TIME and MONEY!!

My self and whole my family along with other accompanied family was disappointed by the food services. Cold food not looks fresh Low oil quality Very late service My family and myself suffered by throat pain. My son and his wife not taken meal . Morning we had not taken breakfast even instructed in advance.Full charges are taken even after that.

Resort is surrounded by nature. Beautiful view from each n every corner of resort. You can do bonfire, if you want to spend night time with the stars. There is open Gym in lawn n many sports to play. Rooms r very comfortable n clean. Tasty homemade food in resort is really remarkable. Full points for lovely owners n helpful staff.

If you want to explore the Wai, this is the best place to stay. You can easily access all the temples and historical sites from this location (it's in the centre of all the tourist spots). Rooms were clean and cozy, attached with a private lawn and swing. Overall a very beautiful place with a refreshing ambiance and nicely maintained garden. Mr. Shinde Sir(owner/host), is very polite and genuine. He helped us with all the transportation and sightseeing. He also suggested to us some local traditional dishes; specially prepared at the Krishna river festival. The food was really good and healthy. If you love some adventure and know how to kayak, with special permission from the owner you can paddle 2km downstream (total distance 4 km) but you must have some kayaking experience and know, how to swim because after a certain point you are on your own. This route is surrounded by trees and different species of birds.

Visited on 5th Feb 2022, The Rutugandh River View Resort is one of the best places I have visited. It might sound exaggerating, but the kind of hospitality, politeness of staff, cleanliness, ambiance and closeness to nature is second to none. Everything was well maintained, up-to-date and the owner was very informative & helpful. They have abundant activities to perform, all included in your package. Have equipments for all sports like Cricket, Table Tennis, Football, Badminton, Darts, etc. The lawn is lush green and the tree house is superb. The cottages are well maintained & cute. Lastly, they encouraged us for Bird Watching early in the morning and helped us spot a few, along the river bed. The food was very good, and freshly prepared as per requirement. All in all, 10/10. And a special mention to Ketan, a young employee at the resort who made our stay more comfortable by his hospitality.

We visited here in June'22. A good friend of mine suggested this place. The resort is situated in a beautiful spacious space. This property is on the banks of river Krishna. Natural resources have been put to good use by the Shinde family to build this place. The garden appears to be well cared for, even in the rainy season. Clay ground is also available in front. When it comes to rooms, the rooms are very cozy, even if they are small. The interior of the room is also very well done. Delicious home-cooked hot meals are available here and tasty breakfast in the morning. The natural beauty outside the rooms is really nice and a good place for photoshoots and pre-wedding shoots. If the group wants to come, they have a lot of play equipment but still i will recommend the place to family and couples. & 1/2 for overall experience and that chicken soup was awesome.

Best place to stay in Wai Food was good, owner and staff were very polite and cooperative. Rooms were very clean. Separate cottages for your privacy. Great lawn to enjoy all activities. My dog enjoyed playing roaming freely there. Overall, a place to surely visit.
