Rupnath Asoka Inscription - Featured Reviews (164)
Historical site. Water flows continuously in waterfall that goes to the kund because of dam above the rock. Temple is situated inside the rock. Lots of monkeys around this place.
Beautiful place to see.hear is a temple of God Shiv. There is an inscription of Ashoka era In which Buddhism has been promoted in Brahmi
Calm, serene and of historical importance. The place is super clean. Please note: 1. Avoid carrying food items inside the premises as there are lots of monkeys around. 2. They have recently closed the way to climb all the way up to the hill.
Beautiful place, an archeological importance site for minor "Ashoka Inscription" visit for its beautiful rocks, Rupnath upper lake where one small dam has constructed. There is a large rock which is the highest point of its rocky series it is about 2 km. from Ashoka inscription point, Suitable for rock climbing. Weather rainy & winter season are most suitable. One can easily reach by road from Sleemnabad (situated on NH-7 Katni-Jabalpur Road). The nearest town is Bahoriband it is about 5km.
Old temples, monkeys and great views, but the waterfall was not worth it
Very good coffee is available here which tastes good.
