Amazing, but Bihar government don't seems interested in maintaining these places. ASI also not maintaining this gem. It's my humble request to government please save these ancient history. It's world's first republic . Amazing peaceful place , sunset looks brilliant . Easy reachable and accessible. It's pride of India and for people of Bihar.

The Lichchhavi Ganarajya was the world's first example of a republic with democratic elements. The governance system of the Lichchhavi clan in Vaishali is believed to have existed around the 6th century BCE, making it an early experiment in republicanism and democratic principles. The ruins of the fort of the Lichchhavi Ganarajya (Republic), hold historical significance as remnants of an ancient citadel. The Lichchhavis were an important clan in ancient India, and Vaishali was their capital. The fort's remains offer glimpses into the political and cultural life of the Lichchhavi republic, which played a crucial role in the early history of the Indian subcontinent. These archaeological ruins stand as a testament to the rich heritage of Vaishali and its prominence in the ancient political landscape of India.

Average place to visit. Nothing to see here, only a well maintained grassy field and ruins of the palace base is here you will find.

The place is well maintained, it has a park in the surroundings. This place is not very crowded. One who visits viswa shanti stup, it is recommended not to miss this place. It is just 2km from shanti stup. Still there is a lot of scope for improvement. The government should make this place more famous by adding some additional facilities.
