My driver from Agra to Jaipur surprised me with this lunch spot stop, we were not planning on stopping, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt, big mistake!!! Inflated prices for below average food, they didn't even have mutton which they had listed on the menu. A beer was INR350!!! They also DO NOT accept credit card and kept pushing for cash only! I refused so my driver ended up paying for my lunch...
I would have given zero stars for this restaurant..it is a 2 star property having 4 star rates. We ordered Veg biryani which hadraw vegetables and stuffed Paratha which had no stuffing.Pls do not visit here. Rates are exorbitant and the food they serve is just garbage. Our cab driver got us here telling it serves good food. They obviously are getting free food or else no one will even come here..
The food was overpriced by India standards and was honestly the worst food I've had in the week and a half I've been in India. They also have a very overpriced gift shops. Total tourist trap. Do not stop here. I assume it's one of those shops that gives your driver a free meal which is why they know to stop there.
Worst tourist trap.. BIG NO .. Strictly avoid.. Bland food .. No taste.. HIGHLY OVER PRICED.. Don't let your driver bring you here. Who on earth sells a small portion of wet chicken biryani which ideally didn't even remotely look like a biryani for 420 rupees.. Sounds like a big 420 restaurant..
Worst tourist trap. Everything costs 3x more than anywhere else. Your driver will take you here because he gets a cut from the extortionate prices. Either argue with the waiters to reduce the prices, go to the same canteen as your driver downstairs or just insist to your driver you go elsewhere. You're talking 250 rupees for rice. European prices. 580 rupees for Veg thali.
The worse food we had in India and the most expensive. My taxi driver took me here, I wished I ate somewhere else. Noodles with ketchup
Clearly the go to stop for guest on their way between Agra and Jaipur. They had a wide arrange of drinks and menu items. The food was fine and not spicy at all, probably catering to foreigners who can't handle the spice especially mid route. They have a lot of seated style toilets that are cleaned and maintained by an attendee. Overall a good pit stop for guests.
The restaurant experience at Rudra Mahal was a a bit disappointing. The food was overpriced, lacking in flavor and spice, and did not meet the expectations for authentic Indian cuisine. The staff were polite but lacked the warmth and hospitality typically found in India. The restaurant seemed more focused on catering to tourists than providing a genuine dining experience. Overall, this restaurant is a tourist trap and not recommended for anyone seeking a true taste of India, but its good enough if you just want a bite on your way to your destination.
