Ruchira Restaurant - Bengali restaurant in Puri - Puri, India

Very good food. Price is very reasonable and good quality of food. You get good options in chinese, indian and Bengali cuisine for both lunch and dinner. There are two hotels with the name "hotel sonali" and "sonali residency" (both of the same group) and ruchira restaurant is present in both the hotels. The main hotel (hotel sonali) is located at swargaddar. The quality of food of this ruchira restaurant is definitely better in this and price is also relatively higher. The othe hotel (sonali residency) is cheaper and located in the alley adjacent to puri hotel. The ruchira restaurant of this one is cheaper with a bit lower quality of food, the decor is also very shabby. But this one is also not bad at all. The location on Google map doesn't show both the locations.

Good food at affordable prices specially Bengali cuisine . A variety of dishes to relish from papda jhal ,elish shorse ,dimer curry ,manghser jhol ,aloo posto ,phulkofir dalna ,mutton kosha etc . Would love to dine here again on my next visit to Puri .

Ruchira was one of the busiest restaurants of Puri, I have visited. Food was average. Seating arrangement was not very comfortable. Staff were so busy, they would not have spent any unnecessary words. But they have a huge variety of Bengali cuisine. You will get almost every possible dishes of Bengali cuisine, cooked in homely style. The place is value for money. They serve ample amount food. One can take a vegetable thali and then choose other curries separately to fill their stomach and please their taste buds. Whether recommended: Yes Whether a must visit place: No

after waiting for almost half an hour, they brought us stale food. the food was so cold we could not finish even 25% of it. rice was in rotten condition. went there on seeing all the positive reviews, seems they are fake, because none matches with the reality.

It opened on 01.06.19 after Fani.Rates are reasonable. Quantity is also sufficient. Rate of fish items are also reasonable. Wash basin is just front of toilet, which is required to be maintained clean.

Worthless place, veg items quality too bad n quantity too low. In a veg thali of 150/- Alu with pakodi curry, Dal, a seasonal vegetables mainly of Alu n Alu bhaja only a table full was given. Waiter was too rude. Non veg items taste horrible. Go to bhajohari manna nearby rate there is little high but true value of money.
