ROYALE ACHAYA - Bed & breakfast in Chennai - Chennai, India

I stayed for a very brief period. I made a last minute choice and had no regrets. What stands out here is the care that the owner shows. He came outside and guided the cab when I was trying to find the location. He accosted me upto the room, even carried my luggage. Room was pleasant and well maintained. While it's not a Hotel per se, it should not matter to anyone looking to stay comfortably and at a reasonable price. Completely worth it and recommended.

Decent size room,but the bathroom was terrible. Faulty shower. The wall and facuets never cleaned in a long time. There was no power in any of the power sockets from evening and when I informed the owner he said one phase had no power. Even the next morning again I hold him and then he checked and there was line that got tripped. Something he could have checked the night before itself. There were frequent power fluctuations throughout the night, a/c going on and off. Served Breakfast on a tray that had 3 idlis, Sambar (no chutney) and a coffee. Though the check out time was 11:30, the owner was pushing to check out from 10:45. And as part of that (I assume) the power to a/c and power plugs were cut by 10 am!! Best to avoid.

Ok place. Avoid if you are expecting luxury. Nothing great about their service. Bkfst ok. Go only if you want to stay in that area. Service, well the owner is not so keen to serve you.

Worst ever stay you could ever think of entire room stings all the sheets blankets smell really bad AC is so old and worst that it wouldn't even work properly. Don't even consider or think staying here at all you would entirely spoil your whole night sleep. And on top of everything the best part is mosquitos wouldn't even allow you to sleep for a second. Worst ever stay i had until now. I would rather prefer going on beach and sleeping i guess.

This is a Home Stay. Deceptively Advertised as HOTEL. Which it is NOT. Even if I excuse them for this, still it is deep inside a residential area, with ZERO ACCESS to Any Form of Public Transport. For regular access to food too one has to suffer. On top of that they are charging INR 1500. At this price there are wonderful commercial hotels just at Thiruvanmiyur Bus Stop itself.

The owner is very accomodating.Especially Reena and i must say i became a friends with her even for a short time. She is so nice, she help me a lot. Their children was nice too. So if your looking for something to stay. I must recommend Royale Achaya. Free wifi, free breakfast.

Worst hotel . Cockroaches is bathroom.. lot of insects in bed. No hygiene at all
