Royal Munroe palace hotel was very neat and calm place to stay. Such a homely feel and the home food was really delicious. Chechi was very helpful during our stay.
Rooms are neat and clean. No facilities are available given in site, like TV, towel, soap etc. Also the owner asked to pay extra for A/C whereas I have booked A/C room. I didn't pay.
Merci beaucoup a Sarath pour son accueil et sa bienveillance. Il m'a gentiment rassure a mon arrivee en fin d'apres midi ou je me sentais destabiliser par l'isolement. Finalement le lieu etait ideal, calme, typique et en bord de backwatters. Le top c'est la balade propose tot le matin pour le levee du soleil ( ce n'est pas possible partout sur Munroe). Merci a la grand mere pour avoir prepare les legumes en sauce vraiment sans epices. C'est tres appreciable. Super lieu !
Monroe Island is a very small town. The people are very friendly and there is none of that persistent touts often encounter in India. There is not much to activities other than boating in the countryside. But for travelers who want to get away from it all, it is a paradise. The Royal Monroe Palace family is very friendly and clean. You may have trouble communicating in English, but it's not a problem! Wifi works well! And best of all, the home-made food is amazingly healthy and delicious.

The host was very warm and welcoming. The rooms are basic but clean and tidy. The home cooked meals was awesome. located near to ferry and train service and as well as popular canoe tour team. Only thing which i noticed is room is full of cigarettes smoke smell when we entered first time.... freshener could be provided. Apart from that everything was best and highly recommended.
A lovely place to stay and get connected with nature. The host and his family are very warm people and they go out of their way to help the guests. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The food prepared by hosts mother in law is authentic Kerala cuisine and it tastes really good. Ashtamudi lake and S cross view are at a walkable distance from this place. You can also book a canoe ride from them. It was a great stay and my kids enjoyed every bit of it. Thank you Mr. Pramode for being such a wonderful host.
A very nice and cozy homestay right beside the backwater. The food here is very tasty. The boat ride is arranged by the homestay and it was a breathtaking ride. I think this is the best stay Munroe island can offer

Kayaking in munroe is a satisfying experience. Its a good place to learn kayaking. There is shallow as well as deep waters. Kayaking through the mangrove with cool breeze hitting us is clearly a rejuvenating adventure.

Very nice place to spend the evening. Munroe island has nice mangrove forest and the best way to explore is taking a row boat. Don't miss getting into shallow water in the middle of lake!! Courteous boatmen- just need to pay approved rates..
