Royal Kazbay Beach Resort - Resort hotel in Varkala - Thiruvananthapuram, India

Location - It's good but there are many other resorts in nearby area which I think are more strategically located Rooms - Just ok with lot of ants/insects roaming in the room Service - Not up to the mark. They expect you to use same towels for 2-3 days. Also, they don't keep count of their towels and can blame you that you are responsible for their missing towels. No respect for guests and attitude is horrible and embarrassing. Not recommended, our experience was very bad.

One of the best places I have stayed in . The beach is around 2 mins walk , the cliff a 20 minute beautiful walk along the shoreline. The rooms were clean and the staff was available throughout. Our host was one of the most amazing hosts I have ever come across. Right from booking for an auto to go around ,to food recommendations to hidden spots , he was helpful with everything. The breakfast is simple but sumptuous,the views from here are out of a painting , the resort is located in a private space with not a lot of people around. Would love to come back and stay here

For a beach facing property it is best priced. Cannot get cheaper than that. The provisions are basic (as should be expected with the cost). They had an above average breakfast setting. However, the best part is that the manager Sajid will help you with everything from scooty, airport pickup drop-off, to recommendations, to solving any problems. Definitely would recommend the place.

Probably one of the most hospitable resorts I have been to. The host was just amazing. Kind, helpful and was always there for us. The staff were humble, smiling and really nice to interact with. The resort is ideal for family and friends, located right next to the busy cliff. It has serene view of the sea and the coconut trees. The breakfast although limited, is very good. Highly recommended. Loads of love to the host and the staff.

everything is according to the posting that they given on booking app, spacious room with well maintained amenities, the best part is that cleanliness of the room... there is having a private beach outside the resort,i will recommend those who are searching for the quality stay

Loved my stay here! Pluses: - Amazing location, neither too crowded nor too away. It is right by the sea, infact sea view is clear from the rooms, dining area and from hammocks - Host and staff are warm and hospitable. The main host caters to all of your questions and will give his honest advice. We woke up the staff at late hours some days and he worked with a smile, super sweet of him! The cleaning and cooking lady is also very warm. Atlough we had language problems she tried her best to understand how i wanted my sandwich and made it exactly that way! Breakfast is simple but delicious - Well spaced rooms, lots of lights and all amenities. Cleanliness is maintained every where. They even take care of small things like putting up the hammock everyday and putting a plastic sheet on the sub beds when its raining. Cons - Only that you need to take a two wheeler or auto for the last 50m or so. But even for that the owner will arrange a pickup with his staff if you are coming by car.

The resort is located with private access to beach. Peaceful property away from the hustle yet <1 km from cliff area making everything accessible. The place is really peaceful with big private garden area. Room and bathroom was big in size, neat and clean with cozy outside sitting area. The place is 5/5 compared to any other resort in that area with highlight being hospitality and service. Highly recommended budget friendly and beautiful stay in Varkala

We are a group of four people who visited Varkala during July 2022.. We had an amazing stay and thoroughly enjoyed the time here.. we stayed for two nights and it's the best. I didn't get time to write the review but whenever I remember Varkala, I would feel guilty for not reviewing this place. The host is very friendly and kind, I think his name is Shajid... Would definitely recommend staying here again.. he is always ready to help.. you can rent a bike here, there is also a private beach within 50ft. You can enjoy your breakfast with a beach view, rooms are spacious and very clean.. there is a patio for each room and you can sit and chat. There is a lady who prepares Breakfast(yummy) there, she is a nice cook and very polite. They change the breakfast every day, we had a South Indian breakfast one day and then the next day English breakfast- juice, eggs, fruits. It was nice. Good place to relax.
