Friendly people. Nice area that feels a bit like a village.

Food is good. Aircon costs 400 extra per night which is disappointing and not mentioned beforehands.

Just give this 4 star because the owner's behaviour is good. The room is not clean most of the rooms have no attached bathroom. Food quality is good. I recommend it for big group tourists and families.

I had stay here for around 5 day's with my family and trust me it was one of my best dicision to rely on royal guest house. Sir and ma'am are welcoming and helping in nature. They will help you whole heartily to pick up tourist point in Kolkata. One thing i want to mention here about guest house i like the most is that there cleanses and taste of food. One should go blindly there and enjoy in Kolkata.
This perfect for budget travelers. They are very friendly people and provide good service too. Do take attach bathroom facility if possible, common bathroom is never logical or hygienic ever since the pandemic. They have multiple properties in the same area so do not judge by the pic you may see in the review. I had taken a whole Baraat in 2018 and was able to accommodate around 20-25 people without much fuss.
It was horrible and pathetic stay. My humble request vto every one please do not stay there.
1. First of all when we booked the room, the owner lady didnot provide the room which we requested and sent photo with advance.
2. The room was shabby, dirty, dusty, and the most important is damped, which is not expected at all. When we asked, the lady lied clearly that this was for water leakage from adjacent washroom, no maintenance at all.
3. There was no staff to carry your luggage, the owner's son or relative carried our one of the trolleys upstairs.
4. Our used dirty plates were lying outside of the room door atleast one whole day
5. After a long day, when we came back at room and opened the room was full of cockroaches, and some of those were on the bed also.
6. Our room was included breakfast but nobody came to approach. The owner lady called to our no in the morning 7 am for breakfast when we were sleeping, after 9 am when we requested, she said maid comes one time, it's not possible to give breakfast at 9 am
The whole building from inside is shabby, dirty, damped, no single maintenance. The location or the surrounding also very dirty.
It was a good experience staying at Royal guest house..Absolutely homely environment. All the amenities were perfectly well maintained. Complementary breakfast was good. The best thing was, we got called from sleep to have our breakfast which really moved me. We took one meal for lunch and I must say, food quality and cooking style is almost what we find at home. Behavior of the owner and his wife was very heart warming. Would definitely recommend someone to stay there as they also have places for people to stay on a long term basis.
great value for money. Tea and breakfast and welcome drink was included and the area is a quiet residential neighbourhood but only 5 min walk from Sulekha. The proprietors were kind and helpful in every way.Yes, it was nice experience. when i checked in to hotel very smoothly they did the checked in process and also they provide me transportation from AIRPORT TO HOTEL. and over all my stay, food was also amazing. yes i will recommended this to traveler.
