Royal Darbar - Mughlai restaurant in Mangaluru - Dakshina Kannada, India

We ordered egg biryani, kebab and paya soup. The paya soup was excellent as always. This can't be compared with the paya that we get in delhi or Lucknow. However, it has a taste of its own and as a dish I found it good. The kebab was good, the chicken was soft and well spiced. The egg biryani was good, it has a light sweet undertone to it. Always ask for extra masala. I had tried their mutton biryani here before which was decent. Overall it was a good experience.

This place is worth all the hype in Mangalore. Not one area I can nitpick about it. Food is good, service is great, staff is excellent . They know their non-vegetarian food and their spices very well. The flavours they come up with is something unique that you will remember forever and will definitely crave to come back. Recommended

I've visited this restaurant many times in past. Way back in the past actually. This review is of my first visit after the renovation. And i am totally NOT disappointed by the taste and standards. I'm glad that they have maintained their standards. The chicken tandoori was so good, that I'm definitely going to visit again just for it. The mutton biriyani was very delicious. The mutton itself was so tender. It's very hard to find restaurants that serve perfect and tender mutton. i got so indulged in the flavours of the biriyani and mutton , i forgot to click a picture to post it here. The mutton biriyani and chicken tikka have some fancy name on the menu, apologies i do not remember them. For dessert, the pineapple delight is a must try. The caramel custard was kinda okay. Caramel tasted a bit burnt Fun fact:- when we asked the waiter on what goes into the making pineapple delight, he replied saying that it's Homemade by the owners. Yup, you read that right, Pineapple delight is not made in the restaurant kitchen. No wonder it was so good.

Beautiful place to dine with your family and friends. Loved every bit of the food . Authentic style of biryani is served here . Best choice would be paneer birbal. The cheese just melts in your mouth . The tandooris and tikkas are all just fabulous. Please try this place and treat yourself with the feast .

Excellent food! The butter Nan with rara chicken is awesome. Biryani flavorful. Actually I love all their dishes. We have been coming here since 20 years and they have managed to be consistent. however offlate it annoys me that the tables are extremely close to each other and too noisy on weekends. Got a headache and had to leave.

Back again with a restart. This restaurant is back at its fame game. Very famous for its royal food, paya soup, the butter kulcha , curry and chicken will always be the og combo. Here are some drool worthy pictures of this place. Mangalore mei yaha nahi gaye , toh kya hi kiya?

@royal_darbar_restaurant A beautiful fine dining place in Mangalore which is located at Bendorewell junction. This restaurant is famous for Mughlai cuisines & one of the oldest restaurant in town. This restaurant has been around for about 32 year's. The ambiance is neat and well furnished which makes dining experience just perfect. Very friendly staff & management. The service is very quick here . . Now coming to the food, from welcome drink to varities of starters, from main course to desserts in the end everything was just fantastic. Chicken starters were just amazing & well prepared. Even Veg dishes in the menu are pretty decent to taste. In frame is the Murgh Tandoori, Murgh Sholey Kabab,Paneer Tikka,Mashroom Tandoor and Paneer Birbal. Each item had a distinct tatse, good quality food with good quantity. Huge piece's of tikka & tandoori may be chicken/paneer/mushroom was juicy,tender and well cooked. The spicy flavoured masala marination was on point. Murgh Tandoori and Sholey Kabab was tandoored for hours and had the perfect texture,soft and aromatic . Overall a paradise for non veg lovers and recommend this place. Definitely would come to @royal_darbar_restaurant and explore more of their delhi cuisines.
