The food is really delicious, specially recommend the Bhetki'r Paturi. The flavours blend in beautifully. The chicken and mutton kosha they prepare are mouth watering. The place is very small to dine in though and conditions appear slightly unhygienic. But that doesn't mean I take away the credits of their cuisine. 4 stars.
I am not Bengali, but I have tasted the chicken kosha many times from other places, but trying the food from their Durga Puja stall in hullimavu was disappointing. We had ordered Bengali pulao (parcel) and with that chicken kosha. The quantity was decent but the taste of the chicken kosha was totally weird and smelly. I have cooked food in mustard oil and i know how the taste of it very well after and before cooking, but this was not fresh i feel.We had huge expectations and it was a disaster to try something from there. Not sure whether they are giving fresh food in parcel for customers :(
I went to Barsha bengali association Durga Puja where they gave a stall. And I ordered Mughlai Paratha thinking it's a basic simple food and they can't make mess it up. I have a video also which it's not allowed Google which captured the food in details. They charged 150rs. It was two Aloo as a dum aloo and one Paratha. Where inside there was another aloo mashed. When i asked them for an explanation what kind of mughlai paatha is this? She told there is keena, spices, eggs and so many ingredients . Perhaps the stuffing just disappeared while frying. The cook and she looked at each other. Its just rs 5 it takes for an egg. Just to fry and give empty maida Paratha with two aloo and charging 150rs will reserve a special place in hell. I will post this everywhere and will ofcourse I would never visit this place or their restaurant again. Have some humanity. Add an egg. It takes just 5rs. You will still have a profit of almost 130 rs for 150rs item. Very shameful.
It's a good restaurant with food taste. Ordered chicken Kassa and mutton and with Kashmiri pulao..... Taste was good and overall experience was pretty good
Bengali pulav is so authentic. They serve all types of Bengali food like aloo posto, bhetki maach, sarso bhatee, you name it you will get it all and to much of surprise, the price is too reasonable.
The restaurant does not have dine out option. It's more of a cloud kitchen and unhygienic
I ordered luchi and chicken kosha from their stall (Barsha association ) The luchis we're flat like papad and the chicken kosha had no taste of the actual dish. It was a plain chicken curry. I released that the food was not quite hygienic as well when next day my stomach was upset. Please don't try the stuffs from the stall. They are pathetic .
Very good restaurant... reasonable price... quality foods...mutton kosha is 2 gd... And rui posto.. just fatafati..
