Royal Cafe - Fast food restaurant in Lucknow - Lucknow, India

I visited here on 26th Nov 2023. I had Basket Chat, Taste was good and also their Hajmola. The atmosphere was good here and people were excited to meet the Chaat kind and have their favourite dishes. Only thing which I feel is the price is on a little higher side.

I must say their ambiance is just rocking. We go their for their signature busket chat. First of all the presentation is very refreshing and colourful. There is a blast of flavours in the mouth, in every bite there is a unique flavour that's pleased your mouth. Absolutely in love with it.. Highly recommended.

It's overrated and overpriced.Not a good place, high-headed staff, rude management, extremely unpleasant experience...I have never had such a tasteless soup. The taste of tomato soup was exactly like the gravy of Shahi Paneer and way too sweet ... this hot and sour soup. that was just a plain water with boiled vegetables in it .no sauce no salt nothing .. And they took 600INR .. for 2 soups. according to the taste it was Very expensive, equally bad taste. they should learn to cook soup.

This is truly a royal restaurant. The restaurant is located in a prime area. All chats are located at the entrance of the restaurant which are really appetizing. The restaurant has two floors and both the floor have a great ambience. The food is really amazing. We went for dinner and tried some vegetarian options. The spinach soup had small paneer and carrot bits which added to the taste of the soup. The vegetarian assorted kebab platter had all the kebabs they prepare and came in a very good presentation. The tandoori breads were extremely fresh and had a good taste. They are worth trying. They add food color to paneer butter masala to bring out that bright orange-red color, but the taste and consistency was on spot. The veg kofta gravy was good and mildly spicy as requested. Overall the food was a solid 9/10. The service was also on spot as they suggest which one to try and they serve all food on your plate as well. They were very courteous. But they do expect some tips at the end when you are paying. Having said all these, I would recommend this restaurant only if you are ready to pay high cost. They use their image that many celebrities come to Royal Cafe.

Over hyped place. Pani puri is good but I didn't like the tikki chaat and the basket chaat. Half plate tikki is Rs 70/- and basket chat is 250/- and the pani puri is Rs 50/- per plate. Service is good. Difficult to find parking for 4 wheeler

Wonderful eat joint bang at the start of MG road , Hazrat ganj. It's so close to the metro station . For people with a gastronomic sense and a busy tongue, this is the place to be. On tha patio and pavement is the chat corner and sit leat done in is there next. The food is great. The taste typical avadhi. The cleanliness and hygiene praiseworthy. The attitude, attentiveness and behaviour of the stewards very polite and disarming. The Indian menu is full of fragrant, aroma filled delights. The kebabs are sumptuous . The mutton prep are really canvassed for bt the staff and are good. Must visit while in Lucknow

The much-hyped Basket Chat by YouTube vloggers turned out to be a disappointment, seemingly designed to loot people with its hefty 250 rs price tag for a basic combination of Alo tikka and Dahi. Local shops provide a similar experience for just 100/120 Rupees . I don't recommend this overpriced restaurant; it's nothing more than a scheme to exploit unsuspecting customers. You'll regret trying it even after this warning .

The Basket Chat is very popular, and indeed it is good. But the restaurant staff inside was quite hostile. The prices are a little high, so go with a full pocket.
