Everything about the place is very good. The location, ambience and close to nature feel. Absolutely no question on this. However, the washrooms are very badly maintained. The rooms are about average. (This is the only negative about the place which will stop me from taking my family/friends there)

I would say it dint live up to its reputation. Perhaps it was to do with the high hopes I had. There are activities that will keep one occupied. Dint enjoy the food (purely subjective). Overall dint find it worth 11K for 2+1 kid for a night.

Stayed here for one night in 1st week of July. Rooms are clean and spacious Entire staff are courteous and owner himself is available for any help needed. They make very conscious effort to make guest comfortable. Enjoyed our stay. One suggestion could be to have a kettle I room, it would help to have warm water at night. Suggestion to fellow travellers is the mobile network at this location is very bad so keep you near and dear ones informed before you reach here. Thanks Rotikallu Team .

Environmentally sustainable practices was what appealed the most to me. The location is superb, natural spring running inside it with great views. One of my best trekking experiences, they provided a guide with two trained German Shepard doggies. Food was excellent. Telling them before hand as to how you prefer it would make it better. The no music, no hooting policy made it peaceful. Wi-Fi area was restricted to one particular area which I personally felt was sensible. Suggestions: Better badminton rackets, install warm lights at night every where.

The Resort is amid scenic view. They have not purposely made some arrangements to maintain the natural habitat around the premises. The vegetarian meal was tasty and served on banana leaf. Kids' needs were taken care. Zip line and kayaking are good. The water stream flows well only after monsoon rains.. otherwise it's stagnant water. They offer short (3km) and long(8km) treks early morning. We went for 3 km trek which has nice view of western ghats. The premises homes 5 dogs which give you good company!! Loved the entire stay

Beautiful place and excellent service. Very dedicated and friendly staffs. Must visit for their hospitality and nice adventures inside resort and trekking to breathtaking viewpoints

I had booked the resort for 6 people on 9th June. Travelling from Bangalore to that place is awesome. Enjoyed the nature and the drive. Reaching to that place is little difficult as the roads are not good due to rain. If you have off road vehicles then you can go for it. Just 2-3 kms stretch is not good. I would like to thank the team of Bharath, Vijay and the owner for the wonderful experience we had in their resort. We had booked for Lunch, HIgh- tea and Dinner and next day breakfast. Due to the long drive from Bangalore to that place, we arrived at there place at around 3 pm. The team was constantly checking our status by calling and getting the info whether we are going to arrive at the location for Lunch. I informed the team that we will be there by 3 - 3 30 pm and requested them to arrange for lunch as we were all so hungry. The team served the Lunch for us which contained Malanda style food. After lunch, we started exploring the place. Rottikallu is best known for its nature. It was raining every 20 minutes and we loved it. The resort has 8 GSD, all well trained and well mannered. Scooby(GSD) was out guide and our safe keeper followed us everywhere we went. High tea was served at 5 30 and it was good time to sip a hot tea in the cold weather. We played lot of games and enjoyed the nature at it best. Water filled volleyball is the best sports if you are travelling with many friends. The resort also has a little stream of water where you can enjoy the pleasant sound of nature. We had booked a private campfire which costed us 700/-. The sides which we ordered was not up to the mark. All the non-veg dishes had excess salt. We informed the team about it and they too the feedback regarding this. Other dishes were fine like onion pakodas, peanut Masala. Dinner was also good. Regarding the rooms, it was good and well maintained. We had booked dormitory room which had 8 beds. Next day break fast was awesome. We had many choice like poori, dosa, Rice bath, vada etc. We missed this place a lot. Planning to visit again with friends or family. This place is good for those who like nature and want a to take break from all the technologies. Expensive but worth spending time No network can enjoy with friends and family Location is good. The pool volleyball, swimming pool, cricket, trekking are the best experiences Food tastes good(the malnad style) and buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. Special mention the camp fire at mid nights worth spending time. Area full of forest with fog and cool breeze. Peace and calm environment. Loved the stay.
