Roshan Residency - Lodge in Matheran - Raigad, India

Requst to everyone who have plan to choose this residency,please don't book this room at anycost. They are cheating in everyway (Room owner, Staffs). It's a local lodge not recommend to anyone. It's not safe to stay here. They charge 7000 per night but rooms are not wort to the the money we pay for this residency. It's a local Lodge (which cost 500 per night) and they charging like 3star and 5star hotles. Rooms are very small (10*10) but in photos which they shared in all the websites are edited one and if we ask the rooms are not shown in pic, they say like it's old pic and response also worst.Pillows, bedsheet, towel and curtains are very dirty we can see some yellow patches in all these. They don't wash it seems. Bathroom are very small with bad smell and floors are very dirty. During our stay water also stopped for 4 hours and when we asked the staff person he did not given proper resopnse. In pathway we can see wires are hangging outside without any safety measure. Also during our stay power also not there for some one hour and there was not proper power backup system. Note: just ignore this lodge and also we recommend all the tourist website like make my trip, booking. Com, agoda, goibibo should block these type of rooms so that people won't cheated. Before they adding into their website they need to do proper survey. Overall roshan residency in matheran is worst room to stay. Not even eligible for 1 star.

Pathetic hotel. Not a single thing in the room was working properly. The room in the pictures seems large but it's compact and quite bad in condition.

Bad points1. Cockroaches were seen inside room roaming around all over.2. Room was small as as compare to the pictures shown.3. Towel was hard and seems to be provided used towel. 4. Comforter was in very bad condition. (Torn and dirty) 5. No toothpaste provided by hotel.s6. Paid Rs for 1 day stay. however got to know more better options with advance amenities near by hotel with 1700/- for AC and for non AC room.Good points1.Wifi network was strong.2. Provided hot water in time.3. Has Android TV so can play music.4. Located in market place.

Overpriced hotel. Rooms are tiny. No balcony, large windows. Spent 1700 for a couple for a night stay. Hot water available only between 7am-9am. No toiletries provided. Broken door latch, electric switches. No DTH or cable tv. TV works on internet, only if u have any OTT subscription. Only single towel provided which was very rough and hard. Bathroom and accessories were not cleaned as per general standard.

It was an average experience as the hotel room was not upto the mark. The property is well maintained like its surrounding and infrastructure but the rooms internally are not good. My Deluxe Non AC room had a broken bathroom door with small flies in it and even the toilet was not clean that properly and the quality of the equipments in the room was low. The owner should pay attention to the interiors of the room and also use a better quality equipments to make the hotel more convenient and better place to choose for the stay. Regards Ziya

Great hotel at remarkable budget price. The non ac rooms was super clean with good asthetics. Great location amidst the centre of market place and 3 mins walk to railway station. Very friendly staff.

We thought Roshan residency will be a good place to stay at Matheran.. Room was good but services are so poor. We have faced so much issue at the place.. 1) There was no wifi connection.. Every time when you aask them about wifi. They only answer like there is some issue we working on that.. there was no wifi service full of day.. 2)Tv was not in room.. when we ask about same they answer we don't have TV at any of the room.. 3) Linen was not so clean.. towels are also not clean.... 4) water glass also not clean... So cheap service.. 5) There was no water supply at basin tap. 6) Jet sprey was not working properly.. .. Overall experience was bad. At the room.. But out side room we enjoyed alot... There is no option to give zero star.. so that we give 1 star..

Humble request to everyone reading this review, please don't book this hotel..... 1. This is a 1* lodge that should cost max 1000Rs to 1500Rs even on weekends. 2. They charged 6500Rs for a day which is higher than compared to the 3* and 4* hotels available in Matheran. We didn't have choice hence took this room. 3. Stinky bathroom, dirty bedsheets and pillows. I think they change it only once a week. 4. Bad attitude of the manager and staff, tried to scare us by acting to call up goons and police too so that we cannot leave from the place........ Reason was that we resisted to pay such a high price after experiencing the condition of the room. Hence please be aware of such people in Matheran. Even the horse riders are of the same category, fix the charges before taking there services. This was our first and last visit to Matheran, such a horrible experience.
