Rootsvilla Vagator-Longstays and Co-working Hostel - Backpacker Hostel in Vagator - North Goa, India

I have been to Goa many times and have stayed in several hostels across Goa, but I have never seen such an amazing hostel in all of my experiences in Goa. If you are looking for a hostel in North Goa, this is the best you'll find. Hats off to the amazing hosts, Priyansha and Abhay, for the incredible experience. Fast check-in, always available for anything you need, and they made sure you enjoy every moment in Goa.

I had a fantastic experience at Rootsvilla Vagator- The vibrant atmosphere and comfortable accommodations provided an ideal setting for long term stays. Rooms are cleaned and well maintained.The staff was friendly and accommodating, making me feel good. The hostel's location in Vagator added to its charm, with easy access to beautiful beaches and local attractions. I highly recommend Rootsvilla for a memorable stay.

If you have booked the place for a group of 6-7 people for tour purpose then this place is not for you. I have stayed with my girls for 5 days and 4 nights here and here is my review. 1. Bad toilets - stinks, not cleaned, taps not working 2. Host- there is no host only a bunch of volunteers , they are not helpful towards guests. 3. We wanted to do direct booking but they told us booking is only done online and when we asked if we will get a room with attached washroom the person behind the call said it is in his hands to allot the rooms. When we arrived at the hostel, they gave us a smaller room with little to no space ( unlike the ones in the photos) and no attached washroom. They asked us to use the common shared washroom which were in a very bad condition. When we asked to get us a room with attached washroom they said you have booked this online only we can not help you. 4. The staffs are not co operative at all. They are money minded. 5. Smokes are everywhere in the hostel. If you are a non smoker then this place is not for you. 6. The volunteers have acquired the good rooms and the bad rooms are allotted to the guests who live for short period of time. 7. Tea/ coffee was complimentary with breakfast but when we asked the cook to make us coffee he replied very rudely and said - Pehle nahi bata sakte the ? 8. The pillows, bed sheets, blanket everything stinks here . Better you get your own things.

This hostel has a fantastic vibe. Met some really good people here. Food is nice. I really loved my stay here. The hospitality is great!. I would recommend it to everyone

It was an amazing stay!!! Played some great chess w the property manager Abhay, had a great weekend scene w other guests and hosts Sanchi and Priyansha, and shared lovely conversation w Sharon and Durga. Unlike other hostels, this one is hygienic and has all amenities; staff is helpful and the vibe is super chill!

I visited this place an year ago & could describe as one of the worst maintained hostels in goa. There was no proper person to manage the property & rooms at the first floor were poorly maintained. The washrooms were common & dirty. Drinking water was never available at the first floor even after repeated calls to the volunteer posted there & we had to go down to ground floor. Worst part was that, outsiders can easily walk in & use the common area. Overall I can term this place as a complete mess.

Rootsvilla is a budget friendly hostel which gives you the best tariff out of all the hostels in the vicinity . The staff especially Abhay is such a cooperative person and makes sure that he is always around to help us. Also the place is best for remote jobs as Wifi here has amazing speed and great connectivity. Overall the surrounding is peaceful that it will make you extend your stay.
