My experience at Rootage Restaurant in Udaipur was a rollercoaster. We were looking for a spot to enjoy good food while catching a cricket match, and Rootage seemed promising with its decent ratings. The ambience was quite pleasant, setting a good tone for the day. However, when it came to the food, things took an unexpected turn. We ordered Wok Tossed Noodles, Paneer Chilly, Mushroom Chilly, and a Chinese Sizzler. To my surprise, the Noodles and Paneer Chilly served to us were Jain, which wasn't what we ordered. They lacked the quintessential flavors of onion and garlic crucial in Asian cuisine. When we raised this concern, the staff's attempts to cover it up with excuses were disheartening. The Mushroom dish, while tasting okay, ended up causing a health issue. Both my sister and I experienced acute stomach aches, with her suffering an allergic reaction and vomiting. Unfortunately, the worst was yet to come--the Chinese Sizzler arrived when everyone else had finished their meals. I had to eat it alone, already hungry from the wait. Unable to fully enjoy it, I couldn't even finish the dish. The restaurant staff's refusal to acknowledge their errors added to the disappointment. Overall, it was a distressing experience. If I could, I'd have given it a negative review.

The food was delicious, offering a variety of flavors that delighted my taste buds. However, the staff's attentiveness could improve, as service was a bit slow. The beverage selection also needs enhancement. The restaurant's environment was pleasant and clean, but it could benefit from better lighting. Overall, with some improvements in service and drinks, Rootage could become a top dining choice in Udaipur.

One of the worst experience. 1. Service - pathetic 2. Cocktails- one ice and water and no flavour. 3. Pizza - worst than road side pizza. 4. Hospitality - average Ambience - very good. If you want to spend time than it's good and if you want to have food. Go somewhere else.

It was good experience we had while celebrating bday party here. Good location and great taste. Although A bit slower service we faced but taste of food compensate the same. #ReviewByHimanshu

The ambience is good. The interior is well furnished. The food taste is good to have. Staff was courteous. There are different seating arrangements for couples, families as well as large groups. It offers hard drinks and only vegetarian food. You can also watch IPL matches over there and can enjoy with your friends and family.
