This was my 2nd trip to Roopnath Temple & genuinely this place is worth to visit. Not so far from city Jabalpur hardly 60km. Road is quite good won't feel tired. Place is good to visit anytime except in summer as there as rocks which gives heat to that place. Otherwise rainy season is the best to visit here. Temple gives you so much positive vibes that you'll feel instantly. One thing I'll highly recommend is don't forget to go above the temple there is a lake from there the view is awesome. I am sharing one picture from that place. Must visit place.
It's a beautiful place to visit specially in monsoon...it's a Mahadev temple.above it there is talab which is must to look out.
very peaceful, blissful, devine and green place for meditation. Prefer time to visit mid/end of Monsoon because waterfall can be seen.. no restaurant in nearby visinity .. beware from monkey family and dog
An ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, and a tourist spot for the nature lover, specially during the rainy and winter season, nature fountain can be seen during the said time. Also a script can be seen from the time of emperor Ashoka. This is very near to Bahoriband district Katni.
Roopnath is home to an unusual Shiva temple, whose lingam is placed in the cleft of a rock. The temple is a three-storeyed structure, whose ground floor is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati and the first floor to Lord Rama and Goddess Janki (Sita). The second floor is devoted to Lord Krishna and Goddess Radha. Roopnath is also famous for three beautiful falls, the pools of which are named after Lord Rama, Lord Lakshmana and Goddess Sita. These always have clean water flowing through them. The source of the water of these kunds is a huge reservoir located above the hill. Though the outfalls of the kund has been converted into a pool, bathing and swimming in it is prohibited
Outstanding place. Really divine. A place of peace in between of Nature. People believe that here is the place where Bhasmasur got boon from Mahadev that whatever he would touch on head, would be burnt into ashes. Bhasmasur's name was initially Roopnath. So this Shiv Temple is called Roopnatheshwar Temple. Everything is good but be aware from menace of Monkeys. There are lot of them. Don't carry any food or drinks when visit the place. Else you would be their main attraction.
Place having both Religious and Historical value,so many stories we heard there about the temple and places around. Ponds are filled with so many big fishes and the lake upward the temple is osm
Good place to visit.... There is a beautiful waterfall, and like other things. When you visit this place must know of its history..
